  1. Tom the fact the engine was so clean shows how well you look after your baby, glad all went well doing the services required and now you know just how good she is into the future. Thanks for the Pic's mate KAA
  2. Hope the road trip ahead is wonderful my friend, enjoy the open road and scenery around you in your travels. I am glad your trying the Armor all Ultra Ceramic Glass product I love it so easy to use and the end results are great and will reaaply mine this weekend after "Faye" gets her wash and dry. I am trying out the TW Graphene Tyre shine right now and am keen to apply it this weekend as all the videos I have seen look great. Let us know how you find the Ceramic Spray for durability, I am still using the TW Graphene Flex Wax and am super happy with it. Keep Safe On the Black Stuff Mate Hugggss to you and yours KAA
  3. Hi Rakis welcome to the forum...Enjoy! KAA
  4. Welcome to the forum, I am sure anyone that can help answer your questions will answer. KAA
  5. Hi Steve, That's great news knowing the oil lines have been done, I am only guessing but if they did the metal upgrade on one I would be think they did both mate. Next time your getting it serviced just ask the mechanic to check the VVT. Thanks for the update Steve KAA
  6. Hi Vince, Hmmm ok at least you have an answer I guess someone altered the whole setup and removed the rears and added a single sub, as normally the 2 rear deck speakers are part of the whole jbl set up 2 on rear deck, both doors, and front dash set. KAA
  7. Hi Joseph and welcome to the forum, yes screen sizes differ in the Aurion. I got mine from Monster Car Audio and got them to fit as these days with so much electronics and harnesses required for all wheel controls I let the experts do their thing. If your wanting to do it yourself then go for it mate, I would suggest checking out some car audio specialists near you for ideas of what is about, at least that way you have a good idea of what is now available on the market and what to look for online. Let us know how you get on and what you decide on. KAA
  8. Hi Peter, I change my oil every 6 months or 5000 Klm, they say 10,000 but I prefer to do it the way I always have and my 2009 Presara is still pristine and running like a swiss watch. A lot will depend on how many Klm's you do within 6 months. As Herb said if your out of warranty with your dealer you are not required to go to them anymore for servicing or anything else unless it is a recall. I would do as Herb says and find a good local mechanic one you can trust to always do the right thing. I used to do all myself but age has caught up with me so I have an excellent mechanic who looks after me like family so he does 99% for me now. I do use OEM filters as I like the Toyota quality. But you should look around find a few mechanics ask loads of questions and see if you can find out how others have found them for work etc. KAA
  9. Hi Mate, doubt it is bass as it is stereo and controlled through head-unit so looks like someone removed the speaker for whatever reason and just not replaced it, I am guessing the empty one has a cover over the top which is what we see in picture. As long as all the wiring is there all you need is a similar speaker and plug and play. Just try and find one the same and all should be fine KAA
  10. Hi Vince, Firstly welcome to the forum, I thought that years Camry Altera SX was a temporary replacement of the Sportivo for that model range, and some came with a 6 speaker set up and some came with the JBL 10 speaker system. I may be wrong and am sure if I am someone will post what they know, do you mean it is a centre speaker on the back parcel shelf or only has one speaker in place on rear parcel shelf? If so then one has probably been removed and as long as all the wiring is there just grab a speaker. KAA
  11. YW Lorraine, I do hope you find someone to help out, just be smart and do your homework on whoever it is, a motor swap is a expensive thing and may end up not worth it in the end as so much will depend on who is doing it and their experience. Good Luck KAA
  12. Welcome Lorraine, First Welcome to the Forum...Finding someone will depend on where you live in NSW, I am sure someone will help if they can. I would suggest maybe trying a post on Face B for your area or maybe calling a few mechanical workshops that have a good reputation get a few prices from them don't commit until your satisfied with what they will offer warranty wise on the engine and mechanical work Good Luck KAA KAA
  13. Hi Steve the best way is get it to a mechanic they can check all the oil cooler lines, as far as Toyota's recall on them I would suggest contacting your local dealers to see if they will still come to the party on replacing them under the recall. Sadly though I have a feeling they won't anymore mate so it may be the case you will have to have them done at your own expense. Lets hope you have a good dealer in your area mate, all the best let us know how you get on, KAA
  14. There are no dumb questions here mate, it sounds like the voltage from the usb isn't capable enough to charge a modern iphone. I would check out the local auto store for advanced usb chargers that will plug into the cig lighter outlet. Cheapest way to go I feel as stuffing around trying to up the amp output would not be worth it. I know my wife's Galaxy S21 will charge in our 2009 Presara we just grabbed a better quality double usb socket plug and it works fine so hope that will help. KAA
  15. Hi Steve For sure Tony has possibly hit the nail on the head, here is a Y-Tube video link to our Toyota Lexus Guru The Car Care Nut, all about bleeding engine coolant on a 2GR-FE engine. Worth watching as it will explain carefully and precisely how it is done and why. KAA
  16. Here is another fantastic review of the 2023 Supra now with manual transmission available, come from our Toyota Lexus Guru The Car Care Nut Enjoy it looks sweet KAA
  17. Hi Steve no does not sound right, if it isn't on the ground it is going somewhere into the engine. Especially after a pressure test not showing leaks it sounds like a possible head gasket to me but i am not a mechanic. If it was me I would be taking it back with a witness to the conversation between you and the owner or manager of wherever performed the exchange. Let us know what happens, as the old saying fix it right the first time was not used here for sure KAA
  18. Welcome to the forum Glenn, enjoy KAA
  19. Hi Stephen, Like mike said I try to do 2 oil changes per year, not done a lot of miles lately as health has stopped long drives but my Presara is going in next week for the oil filter change and also have my great mechanic give our "Faye" a good check over. As far as anything else to have checked well I would suggest making sure no leaks anywhere on the timing cover as that can lead to engine out to repair, water pump and serpentine belt inc pulleys. Apart from that making sure throttle body is cleaned, and as I am not sure what the minor issue is have that looked at as well in case it has gotten worse. I also suggest you begin the search for a really reputable mechanic one who treats you like family and your Aurion as if it was their own, not easy but they are out there so do your homework first and then get to know them personally. KAA
  20. Hi ken Welcome to the forum, I am sure if anyone knows where you can find a ECU for the old girl they will let you know. My only suggestion is to try online at any second hand parts suppliers as some do offer a Aussie wide search facility. Good Luck Mate KAA
  21. Tony it looks like a little beauty, well done on adding to your stash and collection. Let us know when you give it a blast and how you found its performance. Thanks as always for the pictures. KAA
  22. Hi Tony. Well it is easy for us to still be so much on love we are lucky to best friends in all things as well as husband and wife. I do try and make a point of taking my lady out even just for a drive to somewhere beautiful. That is easy here on the Central Coast as we have lakes as well as some stunning beaches, the Hunter Valley and some lovely natural bush areas or sometimes we just find a spot and count the container ships sitting off shore, or I just leave a note saying I love You it is the unexpected that means the most mate. KAA
  23. Hi Guys, So my beloved and I went for a date at our favourite lakes area only 80Kph zone, but got this economy figures started out at 11.5L per 100 and was at 8.5L until back in 50Kph zone KAA
  24. Hi Mike, yes that is great economy, I don't do many long drives anymore but love to take my beautiful wife on a cruise to our favourite sea side place. As most of our driving is at 50Kph it is good to let our "Faye" run at 80-100Kph as it takes it from 10-11 plus litres per 100K down to 9.5 on the last run. As we are in the same place with our beauties at 14 years old it is still a real pleasure and delight to have them run so wonderfully. Keep safe Kate KAA
  25. Welcome to the forum Wing, as Ashley said The Care Care Nut is a great Toyota Lexus Guru for many of us, also if you have any questions just ask someone will always try to help you. Enjoy your new toy. KAA
