  1. Welcome to the forum Rik..I am sure some of the great brains will have suggestions for you, many on here with a lot of knowledge..I am surprised Toyota themselves don't have an answer for you yet.. Hope it gets sorted soon KAA
  2. Yes Tony that magic voice of Mike raymond..wow memories are flooding back just writing this..the misty Mountain top as that race started some years just added to the magic..yes slower cars, slow 5 nuts per wheel pit stops..watching cars running on fumes down conrod ..then running out as they entered pit lane..crews rushing to the point they could assist the poor damn driver who was pushing with all his might to get the car over the line so the crew could take over..wonderful memories..enjoyed this years race ..as you never know what is coming up..but to sit after a show one year and just hear from the man himself how they prepared, how slow the pit stops felt, what he did to focus each lap after lap, was some special moments for me and a total privilege Keep safe KAA
  3. I meet a man about 12 years ago now, (as i did free shows for aged care homes singing with Karaoke on the TV screen for the residents to sing along or follow) he drove alongside a young Brock and all the big names of that era..he recalled to me running his cortina across the mountain when they had few walls on the left..now that was the seat of the pants brave days of the mountain..I can't recall his name now have tried but I loved sitting hearing his stories, it has been and always will be the greatest test of drivers and machines..I loved getting up early with my dad to watch the build up and race, he loved fast cars..and drove a early bugatti around silverstone raceway in his youth..I sure miss those days..no matter what name they give it for a sponsor..it will always be the Bathurst 1000..where the mountain does not forgive and always tests KAA
  4. Thanks for the efforts to get these awesome memories showing mate..Brought back so many memories watching tose beasts running around and giving us so much entertainment Keep Safe KAA
  5. Yes does look great so TY TOC for the upgrade..Wonder why though i got the complete profile thingy first up, but when i go into it it says something about meetings for all those who love Jaguars..Hmm Keep Safe All KAA
  6. Same comment Tony, run flats are not for everyone..cost alone would stop me even thinking of them..I have a full size spare and a jack..I choose to keep my Presara Stock as I love it the way it is..fits all my needs and wants..well I do have 1 want..but I doubt CHIP FOOSE would come to NSW and do a OVERHAULIN episode..but if he did I would gladly hand over my keys and say do what you wish..but as that will never happen it is stock, some debadging, altered grill and the best tyres I can afford KAA
  7. Thanks for the effort Squalled, would be awesome to have the memories back again..Hope the new set up is sorted to allow the pic's KAA
  8. Probably a good idea Tony, at least see what you find by fitting & maybe a short run just to feel if there is any noticeable difference in performance Etc..Personally I only use OEM filters and I am reluctant to change and have 2 air filters and cabin filters still stored away..if it works don't stuff it up by changing things my Dad used to tell me so that is what I have always done.. Still would be interested on what you report mate Keep Safe KAA
  9. Thanks Tony..Yes does look a well constructed filter assembly..will be interested what you think of it when fitted and running..balance that with the fact you can reuse it..saves a lot of Dollars..also be interested to hear your review of the filtration side as well as any noticeable increase in sound levels KAA KAA
  10. Ash that was an interesting read about the Primacy 4 tyres..I have found them awesome at water dispersion and awesomely quiet on the road..however if as they claim the wet weather stopping distance is still better when worn than new tyres it is a bonus..the issue has always been the cost and the availability of the Michelin Primacy 4 series tyres..but if you plan ahead and keep monitoring the sales and specials that the tyre suppliers throw out there you can always come up with something you feel is a good deal Thanks for the review post and the video both very interesting and useful KAA
  11. OK a few phone calls later to most of the reputable tyre shops around here and nothing in the Michelin Primacy or Pilot Sport range are on 4 for 3 or money back offers..I am sure being the wise man you are Tony you will get a good set for a good price KAA
  12. Tony I will make a couple of calls tomorrow mate and let you know if those are on the deal lists around here..if so..yes a good bargaining chip for you KAA
  13. Yes haven't seen them advertised either mate..am guessing the same thing no longer available except whatever is left over in stores..would be good to hear if they are thinking of reintroducing them..have heard good reports about the Primacy 3's and then the odd bad one..I Looked into the Pilot Sport 4 and from what i have read they seem a good option..so let us know what you finally decide on mate and any other info you come up with..a few around my area are doing the 4 for 3 option at the moment or the $100 refund option.. I do hope you find a good deal Keep Safe KAA
  14. I agree Tony..it is only when you have done some serious Klm's on tyres that you find out how they are for not only quietness but also retaining grip and handling, so far my Michelin Primacy LC's seem to be holding up well but they have not done even close to 20,000 Klm's..so I will be continuing to rotate the wheels and keeping an eye on the fronts for wear and tear..Tyres always throw up personal preferences and personal accounts of good and bad..in the end I always do a good review read when choosing tyres..these Primacy's have really been good so they will always get a look in on the next tyre choice list..yes they cost more but I put that to one side when it is all between myself, (my love, and any in my car) from the road they get top priority KAA
  15. Your a Legend Tony..what a brilliant, concise, and detailed service document mate..that is what I call dedicated to the forum..Glad all went so well for you and now you can rest comfortably knowing that it is done..it does show however the quality that Toyota put into their transmission that it stood the test of time when the fluid was still having that red tinge to it after never being touched..Thanks again Tony..brilliant detailed work Appreciated Keep safe KAA
  16. Hi Ashton, I would imagine the dealership won't cover the lights in the AC not working as it is a used car but worth asking as some do provide some sort of warranty..I would check fuses first and foremost in case they are blown..I doubt you would need to replace the knobs if the AC is working..I am sure more experienced minds on here can explain the process to just replace globes as i assume that is all that needs fixing if the fuses are fine..Maybe add more detail of what model Corolla you have and also check that the airbag recall has been performed on your purchase as that is a MUST DO if it hasn't been done already KAA
  17. Yes saw that bottle mate, and read about 5 reviews saying that it went so fast..from all that the video stated I would be sure to try it over ceramic when it becomes available..Ceramic is still good but this seems light years ahead when it comes to instant usage over cure time and ease of use by just spraying it..I like to be able to use our car after washing, polishing and detailing and just adds to the joy I get from jumping in a perfectly detailed car, it's heartwarming and provides so much pleasure..that is why I take pride in all I do..glad you enjoyed the video as it is the way of the future Keep Safe Mate KAA
  18. Good to hear about the suppliers release date Tony..I watched this very interesting video last night from our favourite Pan The Organiser a long but very interesting video about Graphene Coatings good conversation with the head lab guy from 303..and clears up a lot of rubbish claims as well so hope you enjoy it as well https://youtu.be/kw4Ai1973sk Keep Well KAA
  19. Hi Michael, when first purchasing our Presara I looked into lowering it and did a lot of asking specialists and online searches as well..in the end the final decision was made by driving it..seeing how many speed humps and obstacles there are on our roads in our suburbs and shopping centres and decided it was low enough already..as I would rather see a small gap in the wheel well than having to dodge or swerve around speed humps to avoid the bottoming out scrape as the car hits something If your determined to go ahead I would really really do your research and then decide Tony's links do give an insight into what is available and I am sure others will throw their advise in as well on this subject Keep Safe KAA
  20. Thanks Tony I did think you had mentioned the product so was checking..I am fortunate enough to have about 8 different size brushes from wheel and arch ones to alloy wheel ones and 2 i use only for leather, gained over the years when we did the garage cleanout i found 4 i had lost somewhere were all the lost socks go..so they are still in packaging and have the points and good quality brushes so they will now be used to replace the used ones that are near the end of their lives..have ordered the ceramic now from Car care and yes good pricing from what others want for it Thanks again mate appreciate it KAA
  21. Hi Tony..Meant to ask you did you buy and use Gyeon Q2 Leather Shield Hydrophobic Ceramic Nano Coat Coating ? was looking on ebay and after a few reviews and checking other sites the product got good reviews Keep Well KAA
  22. Thanks for the offer..I know you would help out and it is appreciated..just knowing you have found it works well is good enough..i have seen some videos showing it but first hand knowledge is always way better Keep Well My Friend KAA
  23. Thanks Tony..always informative and interesting comments..i will certainly look at doing our Presara steering wheel as it is still in good condition and want it to stay that way Keep Safe and Strong KAA
  24. Look very strong and secure Tony, almost like they could hold a bit as well..good score mate thanks for the photos Keep Well and Safe KAA
  25. COVID has taken over all the news in the world but did hear a few talks about climate change with the massive California fires currently roaring over there..plus the number of hurricanes hitting the south east coastal areas of late..they actually ran out of names for them and will start using the greek alphabet soon for further ones so as we know well things have certainly changed so lets hope this summer isn't a repeat of last christmas new year..the local fire crews have been doing a lot of burn offs here on the central coast of late so fingers crossed👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🤞🤞 Stay Safe KAA
