  1. Welcome too the forum Lindon glad to have you, lots of great threads on here for servicing and issues. Not much happening as far as i know about get together events but if anything comes up we will be told. Have fun mate KAA
  2. Hi John yes a very difficult one to say yes or no on, as Ashley said it will always come down to what has been replaced over time and when. With regular servicing and care attention and love Toyota's can last 400,000 Plus but then it comes down to how you drive and good quality parts used when replacing. I do hope you get the mileage you are after and really I don't see why not mate. KAA
  3. Hi All, Another fantastic video from our mate The Car Care Nut, this one shows how brilliant a 2AZFE Engine can look after 300,000 miles in a very well maintained original owner Camry, as you will see AMD goes into detail why he is doing a short block replacement and how fantastic the engine design from Toyota is. Totally enjoyed this as I always do so hope you also enjoy KAA
  4. Totally agree with Ashley's statement that is total BS, I also suggest hunting down another washer assembly from a wrecker as they are not a part that is on constant use you should be able to locate one of the V40 series Aurion/Camry easy mate. The only thing is removal and replacement takes some time if you do it slow and steady you will sort it fairly easy. Let us know what you end up doing, after all the vehicle is 13 years old so things do go. A friend of mine just bought a new LDV and after 1 week it had to go back for multiple engine sensor faults so new does not mean good, for me Toyota is still the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. KAA
  5. Tony your OCD is at its finest example mate and greatly appreciated, yes the 9K oil still looked great mate so it shows how keeping the OCD going is worth it. Thanks as always for the detailed description. KAA
  6. Can't recall there ever being a recall on this issue at all and will try and get a peek at mine before Christmas lands on us. I think if there was a recall AMD would have mentioned it in the video as he usually does. Either way I can understand the need for rubber as Ian mentioned but not on a part that can dump all the oil out in a few seconds and make the engine go boom. KAA
  7. Welcome to the forum Craig, I hope you get to enjoy some fishing very soon enjoy the forum mate KAA
  8. Another brilliant video from The Car Care Nut, this one covers replacing the horrible rubber oil cooler lines with the upgraded metal ones on the 2GRFE Engine. As always AMD shows it all in detail with excellent explanations of the correct procedure. Enjoy All KAA
  9. Yes as ZZT86 said I would have a code scan done it will give you at least the most probable cause of the lights showing on the dash, O2 sensors will trigger them and also a few other sensors so get the scan done and hope it isn't anything too bad mate. KAA
  10. Hi Vix, I would ask my mechanic too run a code scan to see if anything has listed that needs attention. As they came back have cleared again it is worth the peace of mind to have it looked into a good mechanic will do the scan and be honest about what shows so I only allow 1 mechanic to touch our "Faye" Let us know the outcome mate KAA
  11. Mike glad it was sorted out and your beauty is now driving smooth again, yes you should always replace both shocks as for luck would have it the other side will go not long after replacing the damaged one. KAA
  12. Hi Mike, Never heard of an issue with the 40 series wheel bearings. I am sure if any have they will let you know but it's like anything else they are a part that takes a load and can wear out, I would not think it would be a big job too change them out and I would do both sides if it was me. I hope it is sorted soon for you mate. KAA 🎄🎄🎅🤶🎄🎄
  13. Welcome to the forum Phill, The Kluger is a great vehicle so I am sure if you maintain it well it will last a very long time and you will enjoy that driving experience mate. There is also a lot of great information in the Kluger treads on here. KAA
  14. Hi All, This one from The Car Care Nut (our Toyota Guru) is discussing in detail Toyota Oil Fliters and I highly recommend all watching it as he really gets into the Cartridge style and Spin on type Oil filters. Worth watching for any who want to do their own Oil changes as he discusses what is good and what is a NO NO. Enjoy KAA
  15. Hi Gary, welcome to the forum. I would suggest reading the Rav 4 threads for a lot of good information is contained there already. I am sure any who can advise will do so as we have some awesome minds on here and very helpful Enjoy KAA
  16. Hi All, this is another video from our main man The Car Care Nut, repairing oil consuption in the 2AZ-FE engine, as always he is full of information and details. Enjoy KAA
  17. Thanks Tony, Yes in same position I have confidence in the engine in mine. So far not a sign of any leak in the front cover. If however it does show I will be taking the clean and watch approach as an engine out too me is way out of my ability to pay. I have a great mechanic who in the new year I will ask to put in place a check on that area every time my "Faye" is in his care. I hope you remain trouble free like me my friend, let us know how the oil change etc goes. KAA
  18. Yes Ashley I also went wooh a full engine out repair?, the cost and the inability to have a hoist would make me do the same thing Ash. I will be hoping that our Australian assembly plant did a really good sealing job on the front cover of concern. at least we know what too look for now in case it does happen. I however will be going the cleaning and watch procedure if it does occur on our "Faye" KAA
  19. Hi All, Another brilliant video from The Car Care Nut, this one is how to deal with a front timing cover oil leak which involves removing the engine and sub frame as most front oil leaks will involve. As always he explains and shows you in detail what is involved so please enjoy. Keep Safe All KAA
  20. YW Eric, as Ashley said that is the time having cameras is the best route as you have video evidence then which is an aid to your complaint both to the company concerned and to the police. I do hope someone else has passed any experience they have had with the same driver to his company, or to the police. Sooner or later Karma will hit that driver I just hope it is sooner before something bad does happen. KAA
  21. Eric depending on the company most will have a chat with the driver but personally I would talk to your local police about it, if you have all the information pass it on too them. One thing I do know is most truck drivers do try their best to be safe on the road, and do all they can too help out anyone stuck behind them by moving over to let you by. Some however should not be allowed behind a wheel of any type of vehicle so I would report them too the police also saying you have alerted the company concerned. Keep Safe KAA
  22. Welcome to the forum Mark, I am sure you will find many great minds if you have any questions, someone will always help KAA
  23. Hi All, yet another fantastic video from our Toyota Guru The Car Care Nut, this one is about fake Toyota Filters and the havoc they can cause. This one is on a 2GRFE with a loud ticking sound and how it came down to a Counterfeit Oil Filter. Enjoy viewing this as he talks in depth about what can happen. Stay Safe All KAA
  24. Hi Ron, yes finding those rare and elusive parts will be tough and any you do will be as you said not far behind what you already have. I would be taking the old clip into a good parts store or maybe a Bunnings and looking at what clips are available it may have to be a MacGyver type fix mate making do if the rest of the linkages on the assembly are fine and all that is gone is the clips. If my memory serves me right all they do is hold the ball socket in place so anything that will do the job may be an alternative. I am sure if anyone else has advise they will post. I also would be very hesitant to buy from overseas as if it arrives in one piece it may not be the right parts and then you have all the hassle starting over your search. I would check wreckers as well as a back up as you never know you may get lucky to get you out of your fix even if it is temporary. Let us know the outcome mate KAA
  25. I would have guessed Rhodium for Tony as his stash is HUGE, for myself I have put on a self imposed ban from buying anything more for about 2 more months. SOB SOB I do try very hard not to check but I always end up looking at all the specials and having to stop drooling 🙄😄😵 KAA
