  1. Thanks for your considered response Ashley very enlightening! Will take the DTE calculation with a grain of salt on longer runs now and calculate off the much more accurate THIS TRIP L/100km reading. Cheers
  2. Have just come back from Bathurst for the 1000 and gave the Aurion (2015 ATX) a good stretch, am a little disappointed in the fuel range calculator in the MID though. Having left Bathurst with a full tank we rolled into Glen Innes - 606km later with the range showing 66 kays remaining so time for a re-fill. Bowser cut out and alI could cram in was 48.56 litres so there would presumably still have been 22 litres in the tank! Now I would expect engineers would errr on the side of conservatism with this stuff to avoid fuel pumps burning out etc.... but almost 30% buffer seems crazy! On the next stint Glenn Innes to Brisbane I averaged 7.1L/100kms so should be on track to almost crack 1000kays out of a 70L tank.....yet the range indicator showed just over 600kays. I am tempted next trip to take a jerry can and run it dry!....... Is the sensor set too high in the tank or Is there any tricks / fixes to getting the reading somewhere close to actual? Cheers
  3. Just did first long trip in the new ATX brisbane to sydney some 970 Kay's, trip computer indicated 7.2 for the hwy run and slight increase to 7.4 for the crawl from the end of the F3 into town. return trip via bathurst, some 1200 Kay's, this time with four occupants and luggage, averaged out at 8.4. New England hwy is a fair bit hillier than the pacific and a lot less constabulary around so able to Stretch the legs a little bit. very happy with the overtaking ability - kick down in fifth more than enough to quickly over take any nomads truck etc in very rapid fashion! around town its more like high 11 to low 12. cheers
  4. Can anyone recommend any quality driving lights for fitting to a 2015 atx. Do I need to stick with genuine or are the some nice after market ones available? It's brand new so don't want it too look anything other than 100% Cheers
  5. Just picked up the new Aurion yesterday and aside from the annoying (but fixable) auto locking of the doors - very happy indeed! After only test driving in the rain I didn't really get to experience the full 200 killer wasps but OMG does this thing have some herbs!! we had been eyeing off a VF SV6 but the Aurion really is a lot more refined and quicker - shame more falcadore drivers cant wake up to the fact!
