  1. It might last but it won't drive as good as it should. I would only see problems arise if the person performing the work doesn't know what they are doing..... I got Sci- Fleet toyota Ablion to flush mine and replace all filters/gaskets associated. car had 135k at the time. the difference was like chalk and cheese. i recommend.
  2. I cant remember exactly it was between 300 and 350 maybe. Bassiclly before the change the car would take a bit of time to downshift when pushed the accelerator. it would tend to start in the higher gear for longer. not the best driving experiance. after the change the car shifted like new, simple input of the accelerator and the car was in the right gear straight away. shifts were silky smooth. I was also getting a big thud when shifting out of reverse. the transmission service pretty much eliminated the thud which was not expected. :) highly recomended. my car was a highway car before i purchased, I would suspect if the car spends a lot of time in stop start driving it would be in need of a flush even more. the general peice of mind knowing the car has fresh fluid is good also.
  3. i experience this on my 2011 40 series touring. i actually like it. and for anyone with an aurion that has done over 100,000kms i highly reccomend getting your transmission fluid flushed and filter changed. toyota will tell you it never needs to be changed. but beleive me it makes a HUGE difference. got mine changes at 135k just after I purchased the car.
  4. Not sure how you will sell for a profit, but yes you may fetch a bit extra $$ for the lower kms. provided oil has been changed regularly..... I have seen people change oil by kms and not time before. not good!. i bought my 2011 Touring in May this year for 13k with 134k kms on it. i think its more important to look for a good maintenance record than kms. i test drove a sportivo with 50,000km and it was worse to drive honestly. my advice would be to get out and drive your car, its just an aurion. just my 2 cents.
  5. is the VVT oil line updated in the 2010 + aurions?
  6. I have a feeling it could be fuel filter. I had the car serviced by toyota only 2 months ago. Oil, filter, and Full transmission flush. Got battery tested yesterday. its perfect. the problem initially only occured on really hot days. Although this morning i listened as the wife started it up and it start quickly but there was a hestitation before the revs climbed to where they should on cold. I will try fuel filter first. Toyota seem to think it may be pinched o-rings also. but they have not inspected the car
  7. Hi Guys, I have a 2011 Touring. I have owned it since May this year. 147k on it. drives amazing. I have been having a problem like Brendo88. Bassiclly when i go to start the car first thing in the morning it starts fine. but when the car is warm and been sitting for a couple of hours ill jump in and it will crank for twice as long before starting, sometimes even have to go for a second crank. the car has no issues if i restart wihthin half an hour to an hour I beleive it might be a fuel pressure issues around the fuel filter too. Hoping someone can shed some light on this. Cheers, Alex
