  1. I know the CAI is prone to water, under heavy rain etc. but when i washed the car yesterday, i noticed the CAI was wet(from water) around the mesh. i was wondering if this would cause engine damage ? since its very little water, i reckon the oil will repell the water from entering the pod. but please tell me what u think. thnx.
  2. hey dan can i ask ya something ? u know the bracket that holds the vsv(blue sensor one), how did u manage to push the large hose aside ? coz its sooo stubborn that i wouldnt move. sooo i just bolted the bracket up abit higher than usual and went from there. but the thing im worried about is the piping.one of the pipe(the one coming out from the side of the blue sensor) is abit (tinybit) bent coz of the braket being too high.
  3. lol yesh. haha it wasnt even hard. i was quite suprised actually. now all i need to work on is wiring lights etc. i still dunno how to get pass the firewall or hook up a relay (with switch) properly. ahh hope ill learn them all soon.
  4. i looked everywhere. been to x3 hardwares stores they couldnt help me and repco couldnt help me either. before i head down to my Toyota dealer, can any1 point me in the rite direction to get these rubber caps ? thnx
  5. lookin good bro. hehe its very similar to da oem sportivo rims. ;)
  6. yeh if i pop the bonnet i can hear it. i think my exhaust system covers the suckin sound which sux. but no of the less i can hear it when i rev it past 2.5grand. im loving it. yeh true northy.
  7. kk thnx for that. hrmm for the other bracket i reckon it can be fitted on by sanding both sides down abit or i could spread out the clips more sooo the sensor will slide in nicely. hehe, i installed mine today. looks very good, but the sucking is not loud enuff lol. hrmm mabbie its just me. but when i revv up to 5-6k, i can hear it. omg its da best. best money spend soo far. errm btw does any1 know where i can get rubber valve caps to seal off the sprout ?(the one at the bak which is not used) coz i went to 2 hardware shops today and they said they didnt have any :S. hrmm mite try repco tomoroz.
  8. yaay finally got my TRD CAI. :D :D but i got questions that needs answering. where do i cut the bracket ? i've posted images of the bracket with lines indicating were to cut. please check the pics below and tell me if its correct. if not, please draw the lines for me. cheers ppl. ohh my kit didnt come with rubber plugs where can i buy 1 ? coz i only need one to seal off the piping on the CAI. thnx.
  9. imagine the torque steering on that beast :o . hrmmm, i love the new astra look but toyota will always be my favourite even though they underpower their cars.(well some).
  10. a 06' model corolla. :o im jealous :P 0o00o funny if has similar characteristics(comestic wise) to the new echo. but i doubt it.
  11. may/june of 2005. according to a post posted here.
  12. depends if ya car is manual or automatic. its drops the car by 2sec in a manual.(0-100km time). its gonna cost 6000 + fitting labour cost, soo if u have the money, go ahead. or u could always sell it, purchase a sportivo model and mod it slightly. insurance will go up dramatically.
  13. have u tried ultra tune ? i usually go to my toyota Dealer coz i get 5yrs warrenty if i continue. hrmm why would it be a major service at 40k ? surely it doesnt cost 340bux just to get a few things changed. i would only imagine the shock absorbers and brake pads coming close. other than that, dunno.
