  1. The weights can fall off. I was driving along the highway a while ago and heard a shocking clicking noise from the front end. I stopped the car and had a look underneath and the weight was hanging off the front wheel so i pulled it off and returned to where i get my tyres fitted. They rebalanced the wheels and replaced the weight. I have also experienced having new wheels and tyres fitted, having all different pressures and paying for a wheel alignment that was not done properly. When i took the car back to them they would not accept any responsibility for their stuffed up work so i ended up out of pocket having to pay for a alignment somewhere else. I hope you have better luck getting things fixed if they are responsible for not doing it right in the first place. :-)
  2. Yes, exactly Trentmeyer23. :D Besides....can any of us really say that they havent seen a Camry somewhere on this forum and said "Now that does look good" just as much as we've looked at the Corolla's or Aurions (or any other car for that matter) and said the same thing. My dislike for people having to put down other vehicles came from a commercial that used to be on TV once. It was between a Falcon and a Commodore....they demonstrated how each car went over a speed bump with eggs sitting on the parcel shelf....it was a Holden commercial, so of course the Falcons eggs smashed all over the place yet the Commodores eggs didnt move. Lol..how pathetic!! I love cars...and if they look damn good...........all the better, who cares what brand or model it is :D
  3. I totally agree with Whip Cracker....front wheel drive factor. Especially for males. I have plenty of male friends that love my car, the way it looks and the way it handles...BUT...wouldnt have it because its front wheel drive. Funnily enough though, in my area its a definate toss up to whether more oldies drive Camry's or Corolla's. I love my Camry and wouldnt give it up for any Falcon or Commodore. :D OH and to mick.wheelz....i think a lot of cars can be boring or uninspiring. Your car can be what you want it to be with some upgrades and personal touches :D
  4. Hey mr ke70 yeh i did have a look at your thread...the eyelids look great. Nice ride. :D Dunno about the tail lights yet, i am actually wanting to get a different type of tail light but have only been able to find them from the U.S so far. :( Thanks czaja74....yeh i like the slotted break disc idea, i think they would look pretty good hey. Might have to look into that. :D
  5. Hey thanks :-). I got the visors from ebay for $49.90 (not including postage). They still have some on there now. They are good quality and fit perfectly.
  6. Yep they are LED. Yeh can solder so might take option 2 :-)... thanks DJKOR
  7. A few updates. Attached front and rear slimline visors and modified the parcel shelf for new speakers. Really happy with the results :-). Sure hope i NEVER have to go through pulling the parcel shelf out again though. What a job!!!!
  8. I have 4 blown bulbs in my spoiler brake light....does anybody know how to change them?? I undid the light to have a look but it seems to be one whole piece that cant be undone to get at the bulbs. Thanks B)
  9. I guess mine is different to yours. Yours looks plastic whereas mine is foam. So this photo may probably be of no help at all.....but anyway.
  10. Holy crap!!! 8cm?!?!?!? How does it feel now? Is it harder to shift as you lost leverage or are you using a weighted shift knob? At first i was concerned i had gone too short, but not anymore!! Shifting is excellent. Its so much more fun to drive!! The shift knob im using has a solid metal top so yes i would consider it to be weighted as its reasonably heavy. Im really really happy with it :D
  11. :o Mate things have changed, lol. My grill arrived at my local Toyota dealer painted and ready to fit for $175. Straight fit. Its exactly the same as our original grill. Toyota told me the grill emblems dont come in black so i took it off, sanded it down and painted it. :D Cool...when u get your eyelids on post some photos.
  12. The eyelids at car mate are pretty close to mine. I found mine from a ebay seller in the U.S. Since u brought up the topic of eyelids I tried searching for him again with no success. I'll keep lookin tho and let u know. They are stuck on with 3M tape and they are made out of fibreglass. Dont let the "stuck on" bit faze u, 3M tape is ultra strong. :D
  13. :D hey thanks. Yeh i bought the colour coded grill from Toyota a couple of years ago. Really couldnt tell u if Toyota can still get them tho, sorry. :( The eyelids are taped on. The tape is 3M and really strong. They wont fly off with that tape holding them. :D
  14. Thanks 4 adding that site pimp-tivo...found a few things on there 4 meself... :D
  15. Thanks for the mention Lateralus... :D I have seen on one or two cars on this forum the eyelids Mac has but i wanted something that covered more of the headlight but still without cutting the beam. I found these eyelids from a bloke in U.S. They came primed and including postage cost me $80. They are moulded to the contours on the headlight and as Lateralus mentioned they are attached with a heavy duty adhesive tape. Im not sure i still have his details but i can have a search if u are interested in trying to get them. :)
