  1. Thank you for posting this and the advice! Another question - would anyone know how to dismantle the ignition - the bulp and colouring appear to be built in and is green? Wanting to change to red. Also, for the ZZE corolla, the bulbs appear to be a shade under 5mm? Are these intended to be stretched on, or are the 5mm ones better?
  2. Bumpage - does anyone know where the drain is in the passenger compartment?
  3. HI everyone, I am looking for a Cargo mat (Part PZQ20 12040) for a Corolla wagon, ZZE122R, 2001-2007 - please let me know if you have or are aware of any for sale - cheers!
  4. Hi, I've checked Amayama, but my car didn't come with one. Is there such a thing as an insulator blanket that goes under the bonnet in the engine bay? It looks like there is fittings for one, but wreckers look at me weirdly when I ask for one lol I found parts 53341B - 53341-12170 Insulator and & 53341C (8x) 90467-08124 clips when looking up another model of same generation. These ring any bells?
  5. I found this, for Camrys and in the states, but has given me something to work to: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/diy-wet-carpet-and-odor-removal.1095721/
  6. Anyone? Looking around online and at the jaycar catalogue, I'm taking a punt I need to grip and pull apart?
  7. Yeah, I had the tow bar only, so they put in the wiring too. 🙂
  8. I forgot all about this! In the end, I asked my Mechanic, he said no probs, bring it in. So I did, and I now have a working tow bar, which we've even used! He pretty much had to gut the rear of the car to do it, but... [shrug]
  9. HI Susan, Can't see the listings, PM sent 🙂
  10. Hi everyone, Following on from my other thread, I have left my gear stick open without the usual cover. The lubricant/grease has become black (likely dust etc) and dried out. Once I remove this with a brush, what would I use to replace it please? I have white grease lubricant as a spray, but seems inappropriate for the purpose. Thank you everyone for your reading and assistance!
  11. Hi everyone, eerie timing, but I was lucky this time. Waaay back in 2019, my car (Corolla wagon) was caught in a localised flood up to the bottom of the door sills. It was rain water only - no rivers or creeks etc, just the way the apartment complex was shaped on the ground floor, with inadequate drainage and three days of heavy rain. I was away at the time :o( The electrics etc. were fine, but while there was no pooled water in the interior, there was a smell afterwards. I got the interior steam cleaned which helped, but whenever it gets very wet outside, the smell returns. 1. I imagine the carpet may have to come out. Anyone done this, with any hints or tips? Any guides or processes anyone knows of? 2. Is there anywhere else in the exterior that may trap water that should be water blasted, flushed or steamed? Thank you everyone for your reading and assistance!
  12. Hi Susan, thank you for the posting, and for your understanding that these may be of use to others! Also, please accept my condolences for your loss. As KAA posted, listing what there is available for everyone to review would be best. There are a few forums in Australia that may be interested. For starters, I would be interested in the one you have pictured. 🙂 Regards, Andrew
  13. I'm presuming as part of the replacement, you unplugged the airbag sensor under the seat, and reconnected the battery while it was unconnected? From memory, you will have to the it to a Toyota tech to get it reset. It should be less than $100. I'm not aware of any diy solutions for this
  14. And for bonus points, is there a recommended sharkfin to go for instead? Happy to repeat myself to replace the gasket, but if a sharkfin is better... [shrug]
  15. Bringing up a post from a looking time ago! Kenshin X, thank you for an awesome tutorial. I wish I had found it before I attempted this today! I now know that my issue was a missing gasket, rather than a loose aerial lol I do have a question for all who have done this. In part 12, disconnecting the two cables - the white one is easy. But the black one, how do I disconnect it please?
  16. Hiro, you are my... hero 😋 Seriously, thank you very much! Sorting it now, once I get it out of the rain
  17. HI everyone, hoping someone may know what this wire is for. Took it to mechanic a while back, normal service, but also suspension and steering gear replacement too. Mechanic has since ceased trading due to health issues. Car has been running fine, but when I opened up bonnet, found this. Haynes book sheds no light. I'm going to take engine cover off to have a better look. Any pointers appreciated, thank you for reading!
  18. Took me long enough, but I ended up: 1. replacing the head unit 2. Purchasing Fog light surrounds from Amayama, fog lights and bulbs from ebay 3. Purchasing a used Hayman Reece tow bar - don't do this, as you cannot get parts from Hayman Reece - will have to take my chances with a tow bar installer. Still wondering about strut braces, CAI and headers, but figuring major service and engine work are more important at this time
  19. Bumpage, any no ideas or suggestions on this would be much appreciated please :)
  20. Hi, I'm on same path as you, also want to install remote key where i didn't have one before. There are a few different modules here that you are referring to, so i will refer to what i can recall (just back from pub lol). If you do some digging around forums and google, you will get more info about these. * Remote locking module - under footwell as you said, should bolt in, make sure you have aerial cable for signal, abd bolts to attach it. The connection from memkry connects to the immobiliser. Kicker is buying remote key, and then coding to the car, as most threads about this refer to an existing key being closed, or using existing key to open up vehicle to accepting second key. I havent dug hard enough yet to code a key from scratch. *Immobiliser changed around 2004, when facelift model came in. After a point, remote module was i think part of immobiliser? * Alarm is a seperate option, generally added on; you can buy from toyota($$$), *might* be able to salvage from wreckers. Or buy third party one. Hope this helps!
  21. Hi everyone, I've been given a towbar for a 2004 corolla wagon, and need the bolts & mounting plates etc. I've tried to purchase these from one of their stockists, but was told that Hayman Reece will not sell replacement parts. :o| Does anyone have any ideas or advice please, e.g. alternative parts, contacts, or should i take the bar to an installer and see if they have parts to fit it? Advice and suggestions are appreciated, thank you!
  22. Gave up on this in the end, am installing aftermarket stereo instead. [shrugs]
  23. Thankks for that, they let me buy four, and i could have gotten more. :) I'm flushing my engine, these will be useful! Now for cheap ATF fluid...!
