  4. hey there buddy it's most likely your sway bar that is making that noise. i remember installing mine and it had that kocking sound too when i go over bumps or uneven rds etc. all it was, was a loose bolt from when i installed it. hope you have the same problem and its nothing bigger than that Andrew
  5. Im actually installing some different shocks atm being almost pitch black and only having my mag torch one night, i rounded the bolt where you loosen it from the bottom (rear left shock). im in need of some ideas of how i can get it off. I've tried smashing a 13m bolt ontop of the bolt but im thinking its a high intensity bolt so it couldnt mould the 13 onto it. the only option i can think of at the moment is to drill the bolt out. can anyone shed some light on what else i can do? i was thinking maybe take it to a tyre/mechanic shop and try and get a rattle gun on it but not sure if it'll work. sorry for hi-jacking this thread but its along the same topic
  6. haha akuma go JL! still have my w6 running a sq set up, ran 2/3 of the 500/1 and still pulled 133db! where were you for the sq contest! i did the toyota boys proud :P but back on topic... hmmm i recommend DD or earthquake subs. they are full BEAST and of course you gotta SD everything so the sound stays in Dynamat extreme is the way to go and cover up service holes with mdf wood where you there at the mordialloc skateworld? i was there for like about 5mins, i meet up with the guy in the red car that was running 2x W3's, didnt know you was going to be there wouldov sticked around. i removed my whole system out, sisters taking my car :/ i must hear your system one day, where abouts you located? nahh didnt go there just went straight the the event. pretty funny the guy in the red car gave me advise on how to make my car more suited for spl. haha till next time mate. im located in blackburn

  8. Only if the Lufftwafe pays for it :D I'm told the stock cat flows pretty damn well, so there is a big saving on not having to upgrade the cat. hi superdave, i wasn't clear about what i meant. i hear that a lot of people do 2.5" catback systems. im wanting to know if anyone has done 2.5" all the way (as in from headers to stock cat to muffler). i am just assuming that people have the 2.25" piping from headers to cat (1st half) then 2.5" from cat to muffler (2nd half) please correct me if im wrong
  9. so many people have 2.5" cat back. has anyone done theirs 2.5" from headers back? interested to know the difference
  10. thanks for the reply guys. i'll give it a shot some time soon and let you guys know. it would be better to attempt this on hotter weather right?
  11. Hi guys, so i went to a car audio sound quality competition over the weekend where everyone was hanging around cars chatting etc etc. i cant pinpoint who sat on my car but i do recall seeing someone doing it when i was walking back from getting food. my friend spotted two very noticable dents on my bonnet the size of my fist but not that deep. are there any ways you can get these out? and will it cost much it so frustrating that you look after your car and maintain it really well and then knowing someone sat on ur bonnet to make it look all ugly.
  12. Went to TANCLA's photoshoot and these are the snaps. Thanks Clarence, good job :)
  13. Thanks Clarence, loved the photos, awesome night - mozzies Andrew
  14. Hey guys, weather was slightly more forgiving this arvo so finished off taking the headers out. drove up onto some ramps, got underneath the car and undid the rest of the bolts. taking out the headers was a piece of cake, i found that i had to undo some bolts to where the cables were connected to the engine and slipped them out the top again thanks for the help guys Andrew
