  1. Hi, I'm considering installing a towbar on my toyota corolla sportivo 2003model. Was wondering if 141kws was enough to tow a trailer with a bit of weight in it? Say the trailer had 500kilos of stuff in it. Thinking about something bigger then your standard box trailer. Other ideas i would consider is modifying the rolla for more pulling power not sure how though. Any information or ideas would be great guys thanks.
  2. I'll try and get some photos up soon of the eyelids. I can't remember what his car lights were like though.
  3. hmmm i didn't know there were different ones. I have no idea of telling the difference. But i do know that my friend got them from a group buy on these forums for his corolla he sold over a year ago. His car though was a 2004 corolla sports. I was going to try and fit them on my 2003 sportivo. How can i tell what they are?
  4. I have some corolla sportivo eyelids that i am not going to put on my car as i don't have the time to bother with having them painted and fitted. How much would they be worth and does anyone want to throw me some offers if you are interested. I'm located in the Campbelltown area thanks guys
  5. This is why i posted the comment earlier. I'll have to make a separate thread for it.
  6. Hey i have also seen an interesting black sportivo around Liverpool. I actually see it every monday night at Whitlam leisure centre. This one is quite riced up to with rear kit, twin exhaust system mufflers coming out on both sides of the car, rims and modified lights etc. Wonder if any performance mods are done to the car? curious to know if anyone owns it on here.
  7. Yeah i have same issue as well but that is good because it protects the engine i would think. I remember i use to thrash my old 4age 20v when it was cold a lot and i think it is the reason why it ended up blowing black smoke but who knows. I have a CAI as well on my sportivo and when i try revving it when cold it makes a strange noise like it is trying to suck in air into the intake but it is failing or something. So i just don't hit it hard after i start it up simple.
  8. http://www.eonon.com/index.htm Does anyone know anything about the above units sold here. Interested in peoples experiences with them if they have purchased them. Will they be an easy install into a corolla sportivo? thanks
  9. So what is the best oil for the 2zzge. coming up to my first service as a second hand owner for my car and i want to go out and buy the best oil for my car even if it costs hundreds of dollars.
  10. After careful consideration the most im willing to pay for one of these units is $150-200 that is for the 6 stacker ones. The single stacker ones the most is $100. So if anyone has one that wants to rid of it for these prices let me know.
  11. Oh well missed a bargain that i was bidding on ebay. The mp3 6 cd stacker went for $215 this was out of a 2006 Prado. I was only willing to pay $150 but knowing what you guys just told me i might have spent the $250 for it. I have also noticed there are some cheap in car DVD players with 7inch screens going quite cheap from places like Hong Kong. Can anyone shed some light on these units. Looks like some are going relatively cheap around the $300 mark.
  12. Well if i'm correct i believe that is a single mp3 head unit not a 6 cd stacker. So i would think prices would be different. I have also noticed on ebay there is alot of DVD head units from places like hong kong and china that sell quite cheaply, wondering whether they are worth a crack.
  13. Hey guys, Was wondering if anyone knows how much one of these units cost brand new from toyota if they do sell them and also how much people usually sell them second hand. Also in saying this how much would you pay for one considering there are other mp3 head units out there. Am i better off with another kind of head unit. I plan on running whatever head unit i buy with a sub and amp. thanks guys.
  14. Actually not sure to tell the truth but i would think it would be just easy to pull one engine out and put another in. Best person to answer your question is rollamods he will know, or go to www.twincam.org and ask them they deal with older model corolla engines mainly. But i have heard of people making 7ages, but i can't imagine this being an easy job.
  15. Just dump the 7afe and put the 4age 20v in. I'm quite sure it bolts straight in as long as you get an AE101 20v front cut or engine etc.
  16. This thing is all clockwise, it doesn't go anti-clockwise at all. If it does i have no left brain at all.
  17. So i wonder would a 1zz benefit in any way with a 2zzge C60 gearbox. I guess if so the biggest issue would be the price of these, i can't imagine they would be cheap considering there is a limited amount of sportivos out there.
  18. I think these are good for the 4agze engines that i believe came in the Toyota GTZ's. E58 i think the gear boxes are. Hmmm i didn't realise the 1zz's came with a C56 gearbox. does this mean that these gearboxes from the 1zz would be able to bolt up to a 4age 20v engine and the C60 in the 2zzges would be able to bolt up to the 4age20v as well. This would be interesting if this was the case.
  19. I got similar problem with my brakes i hear a grinding noise as well. But i think it is strange for me since i have only had the sportivo for 2-3months and done about 3000kms. In my state roads vehicle check it states brake pads 80% on all 4 of them. Got my car booked in to the mechanics this Thursday so we will see what the verdict is then.
  20. Hey was wondering if this CAI that was installed on the 1zz is the same ones that go on the 2zzges or is there a different design one for the 1zz compared to the 2zzge ones. you also need one of those PP performance intake scoops by percel performance that would help air flow. Apparently you can modify an icecream container for airflow also.
