Knights of Newy

My 2012 150 Prado is dead. Key locks and unlocks the car as it should. Foot on peddle to start and nothing, no lights or steering unlock, nothing. Have done new batteries in the keys, held key to start button as per manual, nothing. Have had an auto electrician check main battery, terminals, fuses , relays etc with no obvious faults present. All advice so far is to get it towed to Toyota dealer for reprogramming. Anyone have this problem ? Any help or advice is much appreciated.
