  1. I threw a new MAF in it, and everything is sweet.
  2. I just bought a 99 'Lux with a 3rz-fe. It was running super lean (you need full throttle to get enough power to drive it, and massive amounts of backfiring through the intake at any other throttle setting), and the previous owner swapped out fuel filters, fuel injectors, ignition leads. I don't know what else he swapped out, but that is what I can see. I clamped the fuel return line from the regulator and it seemed to run normally, if a bit rich. So I replaced the FPR. It didn't help. I took the MAF out and cleaned that, which helped. I can drive it now, but she is still really lean - it will still pop back up the intake from time to time. Full throttle is a lot smoother but it is still lean everywhere. I have checked PVC for leaks, all the vacuum plumbing I can see, and checked the intake tubing post MAF. I dont seem to have an 02 sensor, and I cant find any calibration data to check if the MAF/TPS is correct. Can someone help me chase this ghost out??
