  1. Thanks Tony but I still suspect the short lies within the distributor. The 2-wire plug I disconnected is only about 200mm long and goes directly into the distributor. Very little scope for a short I suspect. The only way to be sure of course is to pull off the distributor and test the wires back to the plug. I'll also be able to see what the wires go to. I'll just have to do it I suppose.
  2. I have a 1997 Starlet Life that keeps blowing the 15Amp AM2 fuse as soon as the ignition is switched on. I've discovered that if I disconnect the 2 wire plug leading into the distributor the fuse won't blow. As I haven't been able to source a manual / wiring diagram I'd appreciate advice as to what this is. I'd just like a bit of a hint before diving into pulling the distributor off and trying to figure it out cold.
