I happened to be looking for a car on the net with a mate of mine when I though I'd quickly search for Aurion's on Pickles web site (just for the hell of it) when I stumbled accross a really cheap one.

It's a real crying shame in fact to see a car so new in such a state.

How so.. i tryed it.. did'nt notice that much.

Try it on a wet day and come back and tell you didn't notice much!

it does work and there is a lot of nannying by the ecu if you drive at all spiritedly.

Ok i tryed it.. and gave it a bit around corners and you do notice heaps of difference. before when i tryed it my gf was in the car.. and i was limited in what i could do without being slapped :P def a better drive..

I have a ZR6.

Seems they fixed it.. After just over $10,000 of replacement parts they put into my car they found a $20 part in the door that fixed it..

i think.. will see if it stays fixed this time. :)

No you can not put a supercharger in the Normal Aurion(void warrenty and not safe to do so)

Yes you will void your warrenty if you put a smaller pulley on the supercharger but you do get another 10%+ power on top of the current TRD power output

Yes you can get TRD brakes for your Aurion.

Went and had a test drive of the TRD.. I must say it was good in most ways but the supercharger was a let down.

While the handling was good ,wait great and the suspension was good the supercharger isent as powerfull as i expected.

While you notice the kick its not as fast as i thought it Could or should be.

I got it up too 140, took it around some corners, Dragged off a wrx at the lights .

Now i think it dont feel as fast because it is only a small increase in power to 100kms or 140kms etc and there is no pushing back into your seat anymore than a normal aurion. but you can feel that small bit of extra power.

The seats in the TRD feel much better and i could of fallen alseep in them if i was tired.

I would love to take it for a drive around a track or mabey for a drive without the Sales staff in the car. (felt as if i couldent do much)

Also the brakes felt much more responsive. slowed down quicker when the light turned orange while going 120kms :P

Now after i got back in my Zr6 first thing i noticed is the lag when you put your foot down.. in the TRD its almost not there.. the zr6 feels a little slugglish in the steering than the TRD.

Mind you i would love to buy this car and have it to keep for ever and ever. Im very happy with my ZR6 and the price i got it for.

But for an extra 20k just to get the TRD 3500SL i really dont think its worth it. Wait a few months or so till they drop the price.

But 66k Drive away i dont think so!

Had a look at 2 of the TRD's today.. i must say.. body kit looks great..

They all have numbered badges on them.. in the engine bay and in the car near the gear stick with what number it came off the TRD line.. (i saw number 88)

the rims on the black looked nice.. they were painted a darker colour than the other rims.

confirmed the prices that were posted before.. 63k + on roads. so about 66k.

The luxury one 3500SL is the same as the ZR6 with all options.. Eg sunroof, sat nav and push button..

Will have more to report on wednesday when i take one for a test drive.

I have got my aurion up too 210. and then ran out of road.

sound like the sun roof rubbers moving against the metal surrounding roof.

Im getting this one too.. thought it was just me.. cant hear it when i got my music on tho.. might note it on my next service!

Im going to have a look at the TRD aurion on the 20th (Next monday) at the showroom in darwin. There are no offical prices as yet.

The soft release date is monday with Toyota announcing it on the thursday sometime.. Ill takes some pics on the monday and post them up.

Get some before and after pics.. see what it looks like i too might have a go..

Yeah i took my car into the workshop again yesterday.. for the 4 or 5th time i cant remember its been soo many times.. but it still is not fixed.. :(

Yeah i think i got a good deal on my car.. Was around $47,000 drive away inc, sunroof, sat nav and window tinting.

Dealer delivery was just under $700 up to darwin :( big killer there

Well the bass in the aurion seems to distort a little when its turned up.

So going to some guys who know there stuff im getting a Sub and amp installed as we speak. for a little under $600 inc 2 years warrenty

The amp and sub im getting are the Alpine Type S

I am also looking at upgrading all speakers in the car to the Type R

While this costs a little more i am holding back to see how the current setup goes with Stock speakers with the Alpine sub

(EDIT: After having the sub in with the stock speakers for about a month i love it. it sounds much better. A few mates of mine had a listen and they loved the sound out of it. Really got luckey with the items i picked.. perfect sound.)

Well there has been some talk about it on these forums.. What rims to get.. Searching high and low i found this set. I think crome will look too tacky on a Aurion. I decided on the Konig - Unkown 19 x 9.5 inches

I been given a quote of $2700 for these to be delivered to my door then another $80 to be fitted to my car (might do it myself)

*Delay on Rims.. Still waiting on a Backorder. :(

Well i have had this issue 2 weeks into having my Aurion and it still is not fixed after 3 months.

Heres a copy of the email i sent to them..

My name is **** *****, I brought a Toyota Aurion about 3 months back and I have not been very happy with the service department.

The locking system played up about 2 weeks after taking possession of the car. I took it into the service department and your tech’s had a look and said they would have to order some parts in, I was told this at 5pm after not having the car for the whole day. It then took 3 weeks or so to get the part in (I understand this can take a while).

After bringing in the car for the second time something else broke and I got the car back after not having it for a whole day again. Then was told I have to wait for more parts.

Another 3 weeks. This week I brought the car in again and surprise surprise the problem wasn’t fixed but now I only have one working key. Again all day without my car.

I have been told again I will have to wait on parts. Now during this process I have not been told why these parts are not in stock, why it keeps happening and what the actual problem is.

I really don’t think the service department know either. They are just taking stabs in the dark replacing parts hoping they can find the fault.

I want this issue resolved and I really don’t want to be taking my car in every few months. Really I find it very inconvenient and rather disturbing that after waiting for this car for months that I have to go through this saga and the car is still not fixed.

To break down that whole email, the problem started when somthing in the locking system stopped working.. When my car locked it would not beep, only when it was unlocked.

Getting really angry when them. I talked to the GM of Toyota Darwin( i live in darwin) and i been promised it will be fixed next time it comes in or a new car is on the boards. Now i dont know if i want them to fix it Only got 5200kms on the clock.

Anyone else had issues with there Service department or there cars? And to think this is good service in darwin compared to Other companys (Holden local dealership are the worst never get anything done by them up here in darwin)
