  1. welcome to the forums. If you get the chance feel free to join ozcelica.com also as we have a cruise each month organised and would like to get some more members to come along. Have you got a members ride thread? would like to see the difference in a gtr to the aussie st162.
  2. Thanks Kanumuri79 A good mate of mine did it for me with his elec spray gun over new years. he offered to do it after i let him use my garage to spray his car.
  3. Hi all, Have been a member for a long time but not a frequent poster. Have decided to put a members ride thread up to let myself be known to some of you. I picked it up for $1350 with RWC. Back in 2009. This is what it originally looked like when i purchased it. Since purchase it has gone through 2 engines and is currently on it's 3rd 1st engine spun a big end bearing 1 week after purchase 2nd engine lasted up until 2011 when it blew a headgasket and possible blocked injectors. Current engine was rebuilt from ground up by a mate. Had been ported polished all ports matched oversized pistons 1mm engine has a lot more torque than standard gen 1 3sge. This engine isn't dying anytime soon as it's being looked after and loving how it goes. Current mods F + R swaybars with adjustable end links F + R adjustable camber bolts Ceika coilovers F + R slotted rotors with ebc Green pads Braided brake lines C.A.I with k&n panel filter Oil catch can 4-2-1 extractors 2 1/2 system with 3inch dumpy exhaust S15 front strut brace modified to fit 17x7 +40 (25mmbolt on spacers rear and 5mm slip on front) ozzy racing rsgt rims gloss black with polished lip St165 front bar with original yellow fog lights Ssv side skirts and rear bar Tinted windows Brass shifter bushing Jdm ecu (came with car) Polyeurethane bushes throughout 2 child seats installed PROOF you can own a celica with kids 2 set of lock nuts (love my wheels too much to want them stolen) Oil cooler (to be reinstalled once i obtain the right sandwich plate) After a couple years of driving around looking like this current state of car Anyways hope to see some of you about town hopefully i will be posting more on here
  4. Hi all. Have been told a few time when i put the boot into my car it's leting out a lot of smoke from the rear end and it's brown smoke from overfueling. What can i do to try and eliminate the overfueling? it seems to smoke only in 1st and 2nd then it's all fine after that. cheers all
  5. Hi all, Just after a few bits and pieces for my celica. Happy to purchase from interstate. as long as price isn't ridiculously high from some of these parts. I'm after a fuel guage sender unit. rear taillight plastic trim (grey or black) Brake clips that hold the pads into place and stop them rattling around (mainly need front ones but if someone has a full set will take) Also the boot centerpiece between the tail lights and the light fitment that sits inside it. Cheers all i am located in Bayswater vic but if any interstaters can help it would be much appreciated
  6. Hi Mate, I have one in my shed somewhere. I shall look for ti and get back to you. If you are after any other parts i got heaps of ra60 stuff in my shed for my car i have accumulated over the years. Also where are you located?
  7. There weren't many st165's sold here but yer i think if there are they are imported. From memory they came in both pre and post facelift so the earliest gt4 i think was 1985/6. but yer not to sure on the price of them nowadays my guess between 4 and 7 grand only cos of the rareity of them?
  8. That's ok mate, The sa63 though is the same front end as the ra65. and they have the irs which some people put the MA61 Lsd in. and also some people have put the 1ggte or ze whichever your preference is and is a common thing to be done. Another rare option i have heard of also is some people putting a 1uz in it but yer i think a bit of modding was involved lol. glad i could help though ur car has the 2sc which was also in the corona's whereas the ra65 had 22re same as some of the hilux's
  9. the 3rd gen celica's in japan came with a 4age they were aa60 or go beter and go a 3t-gte that would make it a ta63. heaps better and it is already turboed
  10. I'm not sure about the engine swap mate. But i own an ra60 and so does my younger brother. the car that would have the same tail lights as yours would be the ra65 only difference is the engines in them really. as for getting parts for it toymods is a good site and very helpful bunch of people. what parts may you be after as i can always keep and eye out for you and i also have a complete black interior in my back shed also so if you are after anything let me know.
  11. How much would you be after for the front struts? as i may have a mate who is after the drivers side one or both? and the door cards also cheers mate
  12. No problems mate i have sent you a pm now.
  13. Nope, the A-pillar panels from a MA61 are made of some kind of clothing (from what i heared it looks like leather?, the Celica just keeps it with plane old plastic), meaning if i want these that i have to change every panel inside. Thanks for so far. Ah ok yer i haven't seen the interior of a MA61 but i thought they'd be the same. I'm still waiting to hear from the guy about the parts but will let you know if he has them intact and unbroken.
  14. I'm waiting to hear from the person who has it. but will let you know if they are ok. Do you know if the MA61 equivalent will fit by any chance?
  15. Hi mate, just wondering if you are still after the part? as i may be able to get one for you.
