  1. I don't mind if it's with/without the balancer shaft - I am mostly worried about matching electrical connections and same auxiliary equipment. I'll have a look at the SXV10 Camry engine. Thanks for pointing it out!
  2. It looks like a dented oil pan and sump have caused restricted oil pick-up. Crankshaft bearing completely burnt out + some damage to upper engine components. Loud knocking and no power at all. I've been advised best is to find a replacement engine, as the cost of repair will greatly exceed the value of the whole car. So, here I am, trying to see what simple options I have.
  3. Hi guys, Could you please advise what's the easiest option for replacing a dead 5SFE engine? I am thinking to get one from a Camry, since there are plenty around in Melbourne. However, I understand that there are small differences between engines fitted to various Toyotas, so what would be the best Camry donor generation? (the one with the 5SFE that fits straight into my car, without having to change anything else). Anything else to be aware of? Thank you!
