  1. After diagnosing the fact that my spotivo had a fuel issue i thought i would share the fix with you. $3.00 seal between the pump and the reg was kinked. Fitted new one and bingo holding pressure. NOt BAd for an Audi/VW tech. Nothing hard about these cars at all!!!
  2. On a Camry 03 sportivo v6 does the fuel pump prime on ignition cycle(buzz) not happening on mine. I think thats my starting problem . No pressure on start up but starts after several cranks Thanks in advance
  3. hayhayhay at last someone who sounds like they are in the know!!!!! Mate im with ya with the ecu thing, think my plugs are due for a change too which wouldnt help matters. Is the fuel pump an internal in the tank? The reason i ask about the fuel pump is when the pressure is up it will start all day long but leave it for any length of time it takes a long crank period. Cheers for your feedback mate!
  4. Fellas point taken cheers!!! but im not stupid and no spoilt brat as someone has commented, fair enough. Hope i can still post and that i havent upset anyone too much??? Ive had no luck with toyota, they just shrug the shoulders thats why i was hoping a guru was on this site. Not to worry, ddidnt mean to bag the site. Sorry guys.
  5. Sorry if you are upset by my gripe but i happen to be a Tech myself. I was only hoping someone could point me to where a certain part is located or if there is such a thing. Already diagnosed guys just s pointer is what i needed. This isnt a technical site it seems just a brag site, but thats ok but you advertise as a" help with all your toyota needs" not sure about that. Anyway have fun, didnt mean to upset anyone , just frustrated thats all. Cheers
  6. Just like to say i am quite disappointed with the responses to my questions, looks like you guys would rather talk about so called go faster rubbish , than help out with REAL technical issues. Ask your dealer is the response. Very Poor Show. Over and Out.
  7. Hi, does the MC20V have a fuel pressure non return valve and if yes where?? My 03 Sportivo is losing fuel pressure when it sits for any length of time. Drive to the shops, come back its fine but leave it for more than 10 mins you have to crank for a bit to bulid the pressure again. Its leaking back. Is there a fuel pressure reg or something. Im used to the European stuff and they have a non return valve to keep residual pressure. Thanks in advance
  8. Here is a piccie of my new Camry i thought i would share
  9. Im in the trade i should know better "Sorry" Just a bit excited it being new and all. I ll take it on board Cheers
  10. Thanks for that. You guys respond quick im really impressed. Great site
  11. HI mate i just bought Sportivo v6 and it was pinging its head off till i put BP ultimate in it and now Vpower run really well now. Hope this helps Cheers
  12. Hi, how easy is it to set up a piggy back ecu on the 1mz engine? or is it a waste of time? cheers buy the way how do i post a picture of my Car here?
  13. Do you guys recommend a good set of wheels to suit 03 v6 sportivo. Bodycolour is silver. Also can you get spacer to fill out the back arches a little? Cheers
  14. When is the timing belt due for replacement on my 03 v6? and do you have to repalce the tensioner too? Thanks in advance
  15. Cheers for reply, might have to take it to toyota to have this fuel pressure problem looked at. Runs great but leave it for any length of time takes a long time to start, i think its losing fuel pressure or suffering from some kinda leak back, im sorry to keep on rattling on about this but im new to toyota, i repair Audi and it happened to them too. But hey the value for money with this thing is unreal, wouldnt mind investing on a nice set of wheels too. Any recommendations about wheels? Again cheers for reply, you guys answer quick the Euro site take forever Jim
  16. Guys i forgot to mention it is a V6 and the reason i put the high octane stuff in is that when i got the car it pinged a bit but that is gone now with the better fuel, Bp ultimate very good but a bit expensive. The fuel drain back is a worry. But yeah you u guys are right its a very nicely refined car ( OH WHAT A FEELIN HEY) Cheers
  17. Hi , im new to the site. Ive just bought an 03 Camry Sportivo in silver. Great car!!! I specialise in European stuff but im very impressed with the smoothness of this thing. Only thing is i only get 400 to a tank running on VPOWER Shell. When she is warm or has been left sitting it take a long crank time to fire up. Is there a fuel pump pressure non return valve that can go faulty? It feels like there is no residual pressure when you go to start her up, but seems fine when running. I have noticed it might be up for a set of platinum tipped plugs soon too. I feel that the fuel is leaking back. Shame as im very happy otherwise. Thanks in advance Jim
