  1. Hi all chasing info on 1991 80 series 1hz non turbo. Had airconditioning fixed by replacing comp, eval, cond and piping. Now temp gauge is pegged on hot. Not overheating. The temp sender in the top hose outlet has been disconnected for years. My question is where is the sender that is working?. On side of the block next to oil filter there are 2 switches 1 is oil pressure the other has 2 wire's that pulled out of connector, but made no difference to gauge. Is it possible they did something to wire's when fitting evaporater? Or is it the sender I can't find? All was fine when dropped of this morning. They have checked around where they worked but found nothing. I know this is a bit long winded but I need advice. Thanks Andrew UPDATE found temp sender in head behind oil filter, removed wire gauge stays at bottom (cold) . When I reconnect wire gauge pegs out on top (hot). My thoughts are sender has shifted to earth????? Andrew
  2. Hi all new member. 91, 80 series diesel . When in low range the lever moves back and forward 2to3 inches. Engages ok but sloppy. My question can anything be done by removing seats, carpet, ext or is it a box out job?
