Thanks Woodduck this had entered my mind and was hoping for a simpler/cheaper explanation. I live on Flinders Island and will have to wait until the Toyota guys next visit as I don't think the mechanic here has the equipment required to do that.

Hi all, my 08 200 series has started to blow blue/white smoke on cold start up. Lasts about 5 minutes at idol then disappears. Engine is stock standard other than exhaust. 200000ks on clock and has not missed a service. No loss of power. I'm thinking compression should be fine. Any ideas?? Cheers
