  1. I agree with Mopp, chuck in a splitter where the front seats are along where they ran the cable, it will save you money for the extra wire you would've had to buy to run it from the back.
  2. Eclipse head-units are very highly reccomended by alot of people, including myself.. but with a h/u like that your really letting yourself go with the amp and sub.. when looking for amps and subs, steer clear of the typical WOW and JB Hifi, look into some local audio stores where you might find some brands you haven't heard of.. The best audio gear comes out of the States.. <1 thing to remember :)
  3. You should start to get worried when you have about an inch of flex on the front window! You should be sweet, i got the same car and street beat it daily and surprisingly still have no leaks.
  4. I would reccomend running a dual battery setup ONLY using a Dual Battery Isolator.. not only are they useful in keeping adequate power in high current stereos, but they can save you from running your front/main battery flat. Some even have an override function where if your front/starting battery is flat the isolator will switch the batteries together and start using power from the back battery. I got a hold of a REDARC Dual Battery Isolator from TJM pretty cheap, and i highly recommend using the REDARC.
  5. Nope, that didn't work.. And also i just realised that my interior door lock switch does not work, but the unlock does.. all these switches (power window and door lock) are on the same panel on the drivers door. I'm gonna take the door off today, which is a pain in the a$$ coz of the JL ZR's i installed prior. But hopefully its just a plug that wandered out of the group.. :D
  6. Hello, Today i noticed that my power window switch on my drivers side door was flashing and did not auto-engage to wind the window up (for the window to wind up automatically once the button is lifted fully). It automatically winded about 2 inches then stops. Its in a ae112r corolla, maybe its the same as the later model i dk. Can anyone help?
  7. Welcome George! What suspension setup do u have there? Coilovers?
  8. Hi, I am at the stage now where i need to replace stock Springs/shocks in my AE112 Levin. I have been searching around for Super-Low King Springs (On the website and at SuperCheap). On the King Springs Website, they only have Low replacement springs. Has anyone on the forum purchased and installed superlow's for the 101, 102, 111, 112 corolla's? If so, what are the spring part numbers? Thanks!
  9. That info definately does help!! I can sleep easy now.. lol! Thanks fellow Toyota Owners!
  10. Back on topic please.. that's why there is a question up there ^^^^^
  11. It was 4am and the car was still warming up.. i never hit the speed limit until like 15 mins into the drive.. lol! I'm guilty for caring for my car too much!
  12. Hey Everyone, This morning on the way to work, it was about 4am, i noticed a 4WD on the side of the road, and instantly realised it was a Police Speed Camera. I was doing 50km/h in a 60 zone when i first noticed it and it was about 80 metres ahead of me. So i slowed down even more to 45km/h, and when i was pretty much parrallel to the Police vehicle it flashed! I took a look around and noticed that i was the only one on the road, and thats when i started getting sus! Has anyone else been in this sort of situation? Why would it flash on me going under the limit? Matt
  13. I won't say much incase there are the wrong people watching this forum.. But last Saturday night.. An XD Falcon Turbo, 4.1L with a SR20 Bolt-on Turbo running 10PSI (Which floggs a Skyline RB25 Turbo) was CREAMED by a stock Dark-Blue Sportivo. No Joke! Whoever it was (maybe your on this forum) CONGRATULATIONS for beating a Turbo Falcon which does 14.1 at Willowbank with clutch-slip. GO THE ROLLA!!!
  14. Just say there is a sensor relocation point down near the cat, is there another one up on the headers? Or is that a 93-97 thing?
  15. Hey, I've been recently doing some research on the net for extractors for the AE112R 1.8 7afe motor... I've been researching on eBay for pics of the extractors/headers (Americans call them 'headers') :P Anyways, all i can find are pics of the 93-97 corolla headers. (Below) These, i was pretty certain wont fit because of the O2 sensor position mounted on the headers. I've had a look under the car, and the header and 2-1 extension to cat looks identical (even with the bracket at the end near the cat) but the O2 sensor on my car is near that bracket on the end. Maybe in the photo it doesn't show it?? I don't know?? But is there another O2 sensor up near the headers i am missing or can't see. AE112R drivers with extractors, where is your O2 sensor?? Do these look farmiliar to yours? (Below) Thanks and any help will be great!
  16. Hey guys, My next step in the process of a SQ/SPL car is the powerplant - - the Optima! I was thinkin of goin either a D35, D75 or D34 Yellow Top in it.. but it will be very squeezy seeing the Optima is about 40mm longer and 50mm wider but shallower by 30mm from the posts. My question is, has anyone done this before in a rolla? Even if it is a different battery make? Pics would help too guys! P.S. relocating the battery in the boot is NOT an option seeing Street A only allows 1 battery in the factory position.
  17. I'd go the Type X's in that situation, their smooth and not ear-piercing at the highs with good vocal. And there are new Type X's coming out soon so watch out for them coz i know alot of people who want to get their hands on one!! Alpine did some work on them (i don't know why coz their fine the way they are) and they won't blow your budget like MB's and focal's would. Just be sure to set them up properly and i guarentee you'll be spending more time in your car!
  18. I've applied a layer of Dynamat on the outer door skin for as far as i can reach, prolly about a 30cm radius around the door speaker on each front door. I can't apply anymore now coz of dbdrag and CAASQ rules - can only have 2 layers of sound deadening on each location - i.e inner skin and outer skin or two layers on the inner skin or outer door skin. It's kinda hard to see in the pics.. lol :P
  19. Hi Guys! First post, new member<< Anyways.. Nice job on the doors! And i know how hard it is to apply the stuff!! If you got anymore of it, don't be shy to deaden the boot and especially the hatch aswell.. I found it much better on road noise and sound quality once the boot was done, even with the stocko speakers in it!! JL Audio ZR650's will be arriving soon to go in the fronts, i'll post some piccies up when they arrive! Here are some photos of the Dynamat in my ae112r..
