  1. bulbs do produce a bit of heat, i believe that's normal.

as for driver side not projecting as far, would that be because you're sitting in the driver's seat? hence more weight in the front RHS, so more of a dip in th RHS headlamp.

although i don't experience this in my 05 levin, but i do experience the same thing in my 01 camry. in the camry the passenger side light projects further then the driver side.

yeh, i m still worry about the bulbs melting the harness that people have been talking about. People who installed it couldnt actually verified it.

As for the light projecting, it makes sense but i m still recieve problem when i have 2 peopel on the passenger side and only me on the drivers side.

  2. Tonight when i was driving, went into this big curve at some parking, i forgot to go on the side and the front just went bom on the ground and stuck, by the time i got the car out of that, the skirt is full scratch and rip out at the middle. But its been snapped back on now.

Anyone with the 07 hatch had the same problem, ? lucky its the plastic part on the front skirt

    Also, is that replaceable??

  3. thanks for teh reply so far guys

came back from a night drive, they dont lit the road as good as stock yellow but from outside, it looks lot brighter and cooler.

the problem i m noticing now is the driver's side haedlight dont seem to project the same height level with the other side.

Is that something to do with the headloght alignment??

They seem to produce abit of heat too. I can still feel the heat on the headlight casing after i turned them off. Anyone notice that?

  4. Not sure about your first question.

As for your second, 0 is the highest. I keep it at 0 all the time, the lights don't penetrate as far as the Camry, even with 0.

Ok, that means my leveling system works fine.

yeh, they seem to be not high

I m worry about the bulbs, me and my friend thinks its not bright enought compare to the standard stock. It may get dangerous. But have to see what happends in the dark. It may jsut be the daylight affecting it.

  5. Hi all,

    got an urgent questions

I just tried to fit teh mtec cosmos blue into the car and accidentally scratch abit of the surface while tryin to fit in a narrow place.

Does that matter?, It works now but will it die out or explode? Or will it actually die on start if its become a bad globe?

Also, about the level system. Normally its on level 0, when you moved from 0 to 5, does the lights point further down to the road or raises up?? I cannot remember and i just wanna make sure everything is working fine.

The globes dont seem to be that bright at all, maybe its still daytime, i'll take it for a drive around the block when it gets dark to see if its safe.

    Thanks in advance

  6. Hey fellas, just like the topic states. Now I just got my Levin ZR a couple weeks ago and I'm not entirely ready to go modding the absolute bejesus out of it. But I'm just curious.

Is there any types of engine/computer/performance in general modifications available for the '07 ZRE152R's? I wouldnt be suprised if there isnt due to the fact its only a couple months old.

Also I apologise if this is posted in the wrong spot but I honestly couldnt find a better place to put it!

    Cheers fellas.

    very limited parts from toyota.jp

just check out modellista for auris

  7. So far we have...

    -TRD Aurion

-TRD Hilux soon to be released.

    -?

    -?

With Toyota now launching a V6 RAV4, it makes you think it should be pretty simply to supercharge that with the same components from the Aurion and slap on a TRD badge. But where will that leave Kluger if you have a fair sized RAV4 now with more grunt. Maybe/Maybe not.

I highly doubt we will see a TRD Corolla. I think the market is now saturated with Hot Hatches in the Small Car class.

But a TRD Yaris on the other hand is still highly possible. The market doesn't have too many compact hot hatches and it shouldn't be too difficult to rebadge the Europe Yaris TS (Toyota has one here for evaluation) as a TRD Yaris. It has a 1.8L n/a 4 and a nice looking kit and it would do well in the market against cars such as the new Mazda 2, Upcoming Fiat Punto and 500 Abarth.

Personally would liked to see a TRD corolla. But it wouldnt be too suprised wince everything would be within expectation. But yaris would make more sense to push the little thing to over 100kw, it would do good in that small car division.

  8. Where's the pics?!?!?!

Pics or it didn't happen!!! ;-)

Seriously though, sorry to hear about the damage. :(

Yeah it happend mate.Total damage comes up $6357.00

It hit every single panel of the car also completely smashed the window wipers corner lights site mirrors and the extremely expensive GTP mesh grill which for some reason no insurance company will recognise as the 6th part of the GTP Sportivo body kit.

Luckily it missed the headlights which I only a few days before swapped out for some gen 4.5 ones.

There really is to many pics of the damage that I didn't think it was worthwhile posting any cos I really wouldn't know where to begin (even though I said I would before).

But since you asked here's just one of so many I could put up.

Any long/full shot of the damaged car?

  9. hmmmm brand spanking new .... mate since its a brand new car the dealership should b sorting this out ..... now without having to leave it with them for a whole day which is a pain i would suggest borrow a video camera and tape what happens and go down and show them because its hilarious how dealerships seem "unable" to replicate ur problem ..... and since it only happens on start up like i said hard to replicate if u have to drive down to the dealership so it would need to be left over night

i had a similar issue with a car a bought a while back and did as suggested .... taped what was going on and was hard for them 2 talk their way out of it

I try to went out to give my car a test run to record a sound sample. strangly its now gone.

I m guessing it may be of 2 possible cases

    1. Cold engine start. (since today is bit warm). But i dont know what will trigger that if its because of cold temp

    2. Dust from rain. Since past few days is raining.

    Would it be true?

its possible but dont write it off as gone yet give it a few more days and if its still there then try make a recording ive been in a dealership situation and trust me the main reason we dont always get it is due to the service advisers not giving an accurate description of the problem anyway sounds like a brake noise lol! always brake noise <_<

omg, its coming back again, parked out at the street and got it cool down and the noise squeals again. butnot as intense as last night. Not sure about the brake because it still squeals as the car rolls forward

  11. Had to bring this back from death.

I had exact problem with the squealing noise, for the past few days i start my car, after parking, i can hear that squealing noise but it goes away after less then a minute. And it happens everytime i park the car til cool and start again. My car is only 1500km old.

Has anyone identify or have more info about this problem?

Going to get to my first inspection in next 2 weeks. Do you all think toyota can do anything about this?

does the noise occur as soon as you turn on your engine or only when you start moving?

When i start moving when the engine is first started. So if i dont move, theres not sound. But it also disappears within a minute.

  12. In the past few days, i notice a squealing noise coming from around the rear wheel when teh car first start, ..after a minute or so ..its gone...does anyone know whats wrong??

    Wyas to cure the problem?

what car, year model, Km's? also, does the noise happen only when you start moving or is the squealing noise present as soon as you start the engine?

Only when the car starts moving, or braking. And it only happens within the first minute of engine start, after that, it goes away until the engine is stopped and cool down and start again. Its a 07 model, only 1500km old.

  14. I own the new corolla. I don't know about the 7.5 sec mark. The new car is heavier than the old with slightly more power, which would proberly put them on par. The electronic throtle wouldn't help either.

They dont have more power than the previous model. Only the late 05 onwards models have 93kw, all other years (01-05) have 100kw

What??? I thought they are all 100kw....I own a 06 model, does that mean I only have 93kw???

    yes ..its gona be 93kw

  15. so did anyone here with mtec cosmos blue have any heat melting problem??

I'm about to purchase a set, but from ebay.

I know people have been talk about fake bulbs but how can you tell them apart?

If you're getting them from ebay, get them from a seller called Liquidsound. He's also a trader on OzHonda.

    He stocks genuine MTEC bulbs.

As for CosmosBlues melting wire, you won't have a problem unless you get the extended wattage ones. The std wattage (55/60W) are fine though they produce about 110/130W, extended wattage will DRAW like 130W and output even more.. lol

So just get the CosmosBlue in std 55/60W. =D

yeh. thats the guy i m planning to get from

  16. i m actually getting my car service for teh first time, should i bring in the pack and ask toyota service directly. And if its all good, request them to put them on as well??

i can guarantee you they come up with some lame excuse that its crap and it will void the warranty and get u to buy their thousand dollar bulb :)

that makes sense, they will try to sell you at every moment
