  1. Thanks a lot for all your replies. Toyota has changed the angle of the wipers in an effort to reduce the noise but I don't think that made much difference. I will try what you suggest here, putting rain-x or buying a new blade. Any recommendation for blade? Are you sure that car wax wont do any harm to the windscreen? Isn't a car wax oil based? Thanks.
  2. I need help with my Camry (Altise late 2004). When the wipers are on (doesn't matter how much water being poured on) there is squeaky noise on the windscreen (it is as if the wiper blade has worn out). I have checked with Toyota and the blade is fine. Toyota mechanic I spoke to said that the windscreen was coated with a kind of film when it was out from the factory and somehow the film is wearing away. Unfortunately Toyota hasn't come up with a solution. I hardly could believe that. What do you think? What may cause the squeaky noise other than a worn out wiper blade? The noise has been there two or three months since I bought the car brand new from Toyota dealer. Please give me some input. Is there any treatment that I can apply to the windscreen to solve this? Thanks a lot.
  3. I have a 2004 Camry Altise that I bought last February. Having a brand new car I expected that it will be free from any noise caused by the vibration of the interior or any part of the body. But in the last six weeks I noticed very annoying vibration noises that come from dashboard (left end of the dashboard) and from the back of the car. For the noise from dashboard, I suspect that the glove box door and side vents contribute to the noise. Whenever I drive on a rough surface (even only a bit rough) I can hear the noise. It might be trivial but it is annoying especially when the car is only 6 months old. The noise from the back is a bit unclear. This noise usually is heard because of the vibration of the engine (when the car starts moving from stationer position). I suspect it is from the rear bumper but I can't find anything loose that might be the source of the noise. 1. Any thought on how to locate the noise and how to solve it? 2. Is there anyway to reduce road noise in Camry Altise? Thanks for your input.
