Not my cup of tea getting larger rims with lower profile tyre, not for an semi-offroader anyway. They look good, but defeating the purpose of the car unless its stricly tarmac use. Thats why I bought the car to have the ability to go off road if required. I wouldnt want the extra concern of damaging the rims by going off road or going over gutters, pot holes, rocks etc.

I dont trust anyone when it comes to washing the car, even a hand wash place. Man you dont know what kind of grit is in the sponges or rags they use, no way for me!

I know what you mean, but you might find the ABS in the Kluger a little different. I know you tried the demo.....but Im just wondering. I had an Alfa before and I also used to quite regularly get the ABS going. In the Alfa you could hear a quite fast rattle and feel a gentle vibration in the Pedal. In the Kluger though, MAN!! it sounded and felt like the wheels fell off and I was scraping on the road. I can honestly say I still havnt got a good feel of it, because everytime I try, I let go of the brake because I think Im going to break something. I really recommend to every one, to try it.

Hi Marc and welcome to the forum. I cant comment too much on the older Kluger CVX, but you might find that most of the recent postings you have read on here are related to the new Kluger. I think you should try the ABS to get the feeling of what to expect. I was shocked the first time I tried them as well as other times. They are very aggressive and noisy, to me it feels like something is going to break.

I do get noise from ours. You can definitely hear a little rumble from them. If there is also wind coming from a different angle you can hear a bit of whistle from them also. Its not much and not enought to worry about.

We have a Graphite, and seen a few around so its a pretty popular colour. *** Maybe we can start a new thread/survey to see what colours everyone has there ???

My biased opinion is, yes its worth the extra cost. To me it really came down to having extra grip, especially in the wet, as well as possibly using it for low level off road use. But it depends on what you plan to use it for. If its general use as a people mover then 2WD might be the best way to go. The AWD is constant AWD theres no option to lock unlock etc, its always there. I believe it uses a little more petrol about 0.6l/100km or so they say. We get on average about 12 - 14l /100 km with ours and thats running around in Sydney. I beleive because of the high power of the car the 2WD experiences quite a bit of torque steer when you use your horses. If you like the idea of AWD and can afford it, get it, otherwise youll always be wondering later on.

Mate at this rate, RR will be lining up on the starting grid at bathurst come October. We will await the sports shift testing.... Good Stuff RR, I love it....

We got ours fully maintained through salary sacrifice. I dont think it matters how many k's we do and servicing is just done as part of the package when it due. But I think they should fall in the $150.00 service cost for first 3years/60k.

Nice info there RR. Cant wait to get some more up to date figures on the 0-100 and 400m test. I figure then that if you had a competent driver, like yourself, you would possibly be able to give a Porsche Cayenne or turbo Territory a very good run for their money, if not a licking in the 0-100 stakes. Sounds like it would give a respectable showing in standing 400m as well. No wonder its so easy to blow most people away at the lights. Especially using the wholeshot technique, it just grips and goes :D

Not sure how advanced the seat sensors are on the kluger. but i imagine its a pretty straight forward pressure type switch that activates after a certain amount of weight is detected. probably the reason it chimed every now and then was that some other g-forces were acting as extra weight on the six-pack, like going around a corner, going down a rise bump etc.... I used to have an old 1977 volvo that head seat belt sensors in the seat that worked much the same way. As for finding out about the led, i wouldnt worry too much about that ;) it took me 6 months to discover how to lock my car doors from the inside on our other car:whistling:

true you wouldnt want it any longer than what it is. Maybe they could had put less space between the 1st and 2nd row seats and moved the 3rd row forward a little. Theres a heck of a lot of room in the back between the 1st and second row.

it would be nice to have a little more room in the back boot area when all three rows are in use.

I think you may be wrong, check both photos carefully the new super duper Philip's Halogens do what HID's do as-well, check out the top panels of the garage door and above the house with the stockies you will see what I mean. Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. But I was thinking it may have been the extra light relecting off the driveway rather than directly from the headlights?. Anyway I bought a pair as well and have installed them and they are noticibly brigher than the stockies especially up close to the car. It fills that void up that you normally have to turn the bottom driving lights on to fill. However I wouldnt say I was astonished with the improvement. I think they provide good low beam coverage but Im still not impressed with high beam performance, spotties are still a must for dark highways.

I'm just getting price and availability on 2 new ones. Nothing like having a spare for just such occasions ;) . But Im glad everyone was okay, thats the main thing. Its good to see the roof held up so well.

Thats great to hear, "no rattles that is". Good to hear of the nice service you received. I always worry when they have to do a big job like taking a dash out, you wonder if everything will work okay and what other damage they might cause. But sounds like they did a good job.

We were at Orange the other weekend and traveled over to Parkes and then to Bathurst on the way back to the big smoke, it actually started snowing one morning/afternoon (very cold in the mornings and at night) but I didnt notice any rattles suprisingly. We did have a dash rattle not long after new but it seemed to dissapear, (or am I used to it?).

I actually like the look on the 17's with the KXR's, it looks chunkier. Not that id part or swap them for the 19's but I do like the look of them.

Has anyone started getting flashed because youre lights are too bright/glary with the eXtremes. tnx
