  1. Had a similar temperature fault. Are you losing water? Mine was, so I got the radiator pressure tested, and found it had a leak, but never saw any water escaping. Have had my car since new, and this was my second radiator . Hope this helps.
  2. Its petrol. I think I have fixed it. I wired the fuel pump to a three position centre off switch. The pump can either be: Connected to cigarette socket (aux power) Connected to nothing (centre off) Connected to original wiring I had to remove the drivers seat to gain access to the plug/socket, and mounted my switch. The strange thing now, is the motor starts OK when I put the switch in original wiring position. The fuel pump is not on, so it must be a vacuum sucking the fuel. Have left the switch in original position, and if I have related problem, can always switch to aux power.
  3. G'Day, Couldn't start my 2003 Hilux twin cab and call the RACV. He did all the normal checks, and finally the motor started after whacking the fuel tank a few times with a hammer. Was told it was a possible faulty fuel pump. Got my favourite grandson (3rd year car mechanic) and he removed the tank , but then found out the fuel motor worked ok on the bench. So will finally get to my question. Where can I find the relay that supplies power to the fuel motor. Have down loaded 200 plus pages electrical manual for Hilux. but nun the wiser. Does anyone have any ideas. Tks Grant
