to me it does sound like you have a problem with the clutch Thrust bearing as was stated by ,CAMPBEAN 🙂 is common with vehicles driven in suburban areas, with many gear changing .. Just my guess,had the same with a 1998 hilux manual 5 spd. -
try taking itout off overdrive before takingon the hill it works with me and I am able to hold 90kmh without much trouble .2004 sr5 3.4,4 spd auto.
