  1. Sorry for the late replies. Yes will do, Im in the process of buying a 2grfe engine block and once the original engine is to be lifted down I'll investigate the culprit of the problem and share some pics of its internals
  2. I already checked it underneath but its not the exhaust hanger unfortunately

  4. Greetings to all! I would like to have your opinions regarding this knocking sound or clunking sound (I posted the link of the video) on my 2008 camry 3.5 v6 with 80,000 km. The sound happened recently and it was consistent with the rpm (the higher the revs the speed of the clunking sound is simultaneous to it), sometimes upon first start up the clunking sound is absent and its was not audible but as the car reaches optimal temp and there's some load in it the sound appears. I have already changed the oil but the problem is still subsiting and I have consulted with all the mechanics (they've done extensive diagnosis to locate the sound) within my locality regarding it and they all opined that it is an internal issue (like the bearings or rods). But upon using the car yesterday I was baffled, since the clunking noise was not apparent even if I revved the car to 3k on load on the street (beyond 4k there's some clunking sound). I have accepted the fact that I might be needing a new engine and I'm in the process of dividing my budget for it. Any opinions or comments regarding it that might help? Thankyou so much in advance Link: 20230929_200942.mp4
  5. Greetings once again, I was wondering if I should lubricate this u joint under the steering wheel with white lithium grease in order to make my steering wheel feel lighter? (attached pic has the reference), I got curious from a recent post here in lieu of such, thankyou so much
  6. I'll try to do a diagnosis with my mechanic over the weekend and i'll update you all with its developments. In your own opinion, could a fuel injector cleaner bottle be useful for our aurions?
  7. Hello and I am grateful for your response, I already resolve my camshaft position sensor problem by replacing the sensor itself, and there was work already done with the transmission by replacing its filter and doing the drain and refill procedure altogether. Right now the rough idle while in gear is still subsisting
  8. The aurion has a universal joint? I haven't seen it underneath the car, perhaps it could be a culprit also in regards of my heavy steering could you help me out to locate it, thank you in advance
  9. Greetings once again! I would like to get your opinions or tips regarding upgrading my tailights of my xv40, can i reuse the old socket?, and what bulb do i need for the 2009-2011 tailights?, thankyou so much in advance
  10. Just an update, i manage to clear the problem by replacing the camshaft sensor bank 1 sensor b, was quite a tough job reaching the sensor near the firewall but nevertheless, succeded in eliminating the trac, vsc, and engine lights, been driving it for a week now and hopefully its truly fixed
  11. Thanks alot sir @campbeam I'll make sure to also watch the vid that you sent me
  12. Update: upon meticulous research from all the data i could gather from the net, i sufficiently concluded that it might be a normal characteristics for 2grfe to have this occurrence, I Iet my 2 mechanics to inspect the car especially the engine mount and struts but they found no reason to replace it since it is in a good condition, its weird that this problem has to do with the outside temperature, as the vibration shall be more felt in a certain temperature. Changing gas stations didn't do the trick, i did replace my atf filter and atf fluid but to no avail, even the steering fluid replacement did not alleviate the problem. So i guess i have to live with till i can save up for a 2nd hand is350.
  13. Greetings! I have a 2008 camry 2grfe 6 speed a/t, while driving along the highway the dash lighted up suddenly with engine, trac, and vsc warnings, so i hooked up my code reader and a p0365 was diagnosed, honestly the p0365 didn't affect the car's driving characteristic (or I just don't know?) Have anyone of you encountered this code, and it's it safe to drive while this code is appearing all the time, thanks in advance
  14. Thank you for your inputs guys, well I just got this car from a relative (I’m the 2nd owner basically) and it’s service records is quite hard to reach from the Toyota dealer (they said that it will take some processing in order to obtain its record after demanding it from them and the such) but my relative said that the ATF wasn’t changed since day one from the dealer. My aforementioned problems seldom occurs tho. It doesn’t make any noises in changing gears but it jolts. My question also, if changing the transmission fluid (considering the fact that it wasn’t changed since day one (14 years) from the factory) will do damage?, while I was researching there were some who opined in this forum that fluid that was not changed that long should not be replaced due to the probability that the transmission will be damaged per se from the new fluid that will be poured in.
  15. Hello, this is my first time making threads like this, but this forum immensely helps me to service and acquire tips for my 2008 Camry 3.5q (Philippine model), I am from the Philippines and I actually daily drive this Toyota Camry of mine everyday and I would love to preserve this car for longevity since it is really a good car in my opinion hoping it will do service for me for a longtime. Well my tranny kinda acts weird when it is shifting into 2nd gear like it is jolting when transitioning to 2nd gear, and when I step on the gas and subsequently remove my foot it actually flares (fyi I have a Fujita cold air intake if that helps). Kinda scared if this transmission will give up on me on a busy road or highway, hence I really need your help guys, thank you in advance (71236 km on the clock).
