  3. Horror show ..I just found what appears to be a metal spacer in the sump of a Hilux 3L engine, bought the engine from a wrecker of good repute in QLD as the original engine threw a conrod through the side of the block. car is an (allegedly invincible )LN107 1993 ..Wrecker, told me I wld have to change sump it looks the same but was leaking slightly so i took it off an hour ago Saturday june 18 ...I know very little about diesels or what can and cant pass through to the sump..I heard the engine running by video before buying it .. mechanic friend told me it sounded good and to go for it..Big Question Is it possible there is no damage done to this engine or is it likely to be cactus ? The spacer seems to be in good shape ...Thanks in advance for any input,..@ndy
