My Toyota Rav4 XSE Feb2022 built. The DashCam was fitted by Toyota (Aftermarket product) for additional cost.
Issue 1.
Rav4 2022 DashCam will not record 24*7 even though I drive 80-100 KM per day. The moment I shut the engine off, no recording. I was told it will record 24*7 and override once memory card is full. So in Parking, on street, in mall no recording. (RISKY)
Now I am told it will only record while driving.
Issue 2.
It will not record half of the time even while driving. Today dropped kids to the school recorded perfect. Return home no recording. Multiple trips are missing.
It is getting frustrated for me now.
Toyota Aftermarket and Pre-Delivery team has been very helpful so far. They replaced the DashCam with a another one. Same issue
Now I wait for next steps/options from Toyota.
The irritating part is, Toyota is not looking into car why car is not able hold or deliver 12v power that is required for the camera.
Any does anyone of you with Rav4 has this issue? Did you get any solution?Does your DashCam record 24*7?
Any guidance will be much appreciated.
