  1. Hi to all Toyota lovers and enthusiasts. Just wondering if anyone can shed shed some light on my brake warning light issue. I have a 2002 HDB51 auto Toyota Coaster with 1HD-FTE engine. Brake warning light stays on after handbrake has been released. I have checked the following: 1. Hand brake switch (both sets of contacts) - ok 2. Brake fluid level and sensor - both operate ok. * I took it for a run yesterday and the brake warning light went out and now it stays off and even pulling handbrake lever will not make it come on. Update: Hi Guru’s, today I had a couple of hours free so I pulled out instrument cluster which was surprisingly easy and checked all my warning lamps and found that the brake warning lamp and 4 others were blown so that answers why the brake warning light wouldn’t come back on. I swapped a working lamp in to its spot and it cam on and now stays on even when both the hand brake switch and the brake fluid level sensor is disconnected. The warning lamp is getting a path to ground to keep it on from somewhere but not sure where. 😆 Can anyone give any ideas as to what else may be causing my brake warning light to stay on?
