  1. if its a "dealership" extended warranty - dont bother it its a 'toyota extra care" extended warranty then yes as they cover alot more then a dealership extended warranty
  2. contact your dealership and get them to carry out an oil consumption test. possible that engine oil may be drawn into the combustion chamber during deceleration. should cost you nothing for the test
  3. it is a drive belt tensioner and i have been through 2 already, thank god for extended warranty :)
  4. corollas dont have 17,000 km service interval, so i'd be checking your dealer to see what its exactly due for by time as well Toyota advantage is a program where toyota pays half for the service and customer pays the other. Best way to check if your vehicle is on the plan is to ring your dealership and provide them the VIN number. Service on this plan is no different to normal servicing. eg time or kms, which ever comes first (6mths/10000km) there are also conditions, that alot of ppl get caught out and dont get explained to. Advantage service starts when you purchase your car (delivery date). its 6 months from then or 10000kms which every occurs first. (not eligiable for toyota employees) eg delivery date 3/9/09, your first 10k service is due either 3/3/2010 or 10k. there is also a buffer of an extra 5000kms on top or 3 months, so u can still do ur 10k service right up to 3/6/2010 or 15000kms. if you 1 day pass 3/6/10 or 1km pass 15000, you pay retail price
  5. just cut a black head key with no remote in it, around $70 bucks, so if u do end up loosing your remote key, you can use this spare key to cut and program another remote key
  6. i bought a pair H7 8000k for $120, spent about 30 mins installing them...not to mention free delivery too! http://firesport.com.au:80/hid-free-delive...b--ad133076.htm
  7. i use to get about 550kms per tank running on BP ultimate. Carried out an injector service at work, has increased fuel consumption to 615kms if you want a fuel consumption report/indication carry out a 3 tank test run the car until fuel light comes on, fill it up, write down from bowser how many litrse, reset trip meter and complete it 3 times
  8. its recommended to service the car whether km's comes first or time. and being this service is a major, its highly recommended to do it
