thanks for the info stockstivo, not sure on how to check if I have a throttle cable or drive by wire? Seems to be alot of things are needed for the Cruise control to be installed. Just found out that there is no Genuine kits available, so that leaves aftermarket kits, does anyone have one installed already? any good? price? Cheers

Hey guys, I have a 03' Corolla Conquest Hatch, every year at least once a year I travel 15 hours to visit family members. During this 15 hour period fluctuations with speed always occur and can sometimes get caught out (once) as well as sore and tired feet. Just wondering whether anyone has had a Cruise Control kit installed in their vehicle around this model and if it was difficult to install and how much? Wouldn't mind finding out how much a Genuine kit costs if there is one. Cheers L3th

Hey guys my 03 rolla's air con is making a kinda flicking sound when the air con is on and running, although this only happens about half of the time. It still happens if the air con is off and just normal air is coming through, also if i allow the air to flow straight through without circulating the sound is less noticable. One other thing is if i turn off the air con. Then turn it back on 5-10 seconds later half of the time the sound disappears. It sounds like its coming from the passenger side towards the glove box. Any ideas what it could be is appreciated Cheers

Hey Guys, I've been searching the forums but have not really found anything on this topic, at least up to date. I'm just wondering whether spark plugs and/or leads actually make a difference towards the car's performance or fuel consumption overall or does a basic set perform similar to a platinum set. What brands do you guys highly recommend and how often should they be changed? How does NGK compare with BOSCH and other brands? Personally I have been looking at the Bosch Platinum IrFusion, how would they perform against others, I'm all new to this. Cheers

Hey Guys, New to the scene, got my stock 03' ZZE122 Corolla Hatch about mid last year. Have only started to think about getting into the modding phase so all this is new to me. I find it interesting and take it as a new hobby so any help will be much appreciated. Since I'm only a uni student, just wondering what are some cheap modifications to improve a stock cars performance or appearance? Cheers

Hey Guys, I have bought a new aftermarket Pioneer 1 Din stereo, before there was a SONY cassesste player with a 5 CD stacker under the passenger chair. Firstly I have removed the old stereo from the vehicle and am now stuck with the problem of not knowing how to wire in the new stereo, there seems to be the 2 Toyota factory plugs which i'm unsure of has been touched or not? Then there is the old Sony plug. Do I need to do any cutting and crimping of wires to get rid of the Sony plug or can I just get the harnesses for the 2 Toyota factory plugs (that I'm unsure about that has been touched) and a Pioneer harness to connect to that and plug into the new Stereo? This is a 2nd hand car, so the Sony cassesste was already installed when I bought it. I have attached a picture for your insight. Please need all the advice I can get, kinda new at this and need it done by tomorrow, asap. Thanks for your input guys. L3th

Hey guys, For quite some time now everytime I'm driving my little 1991 Corolla Hatch at about 60km and release my foot off the acceleration pedal, there is a squeeling noise coming from under the bonnet, but if I place my foot back on the accelerator and gain speed it disappears almost instantenously. It only happens around 60km, would anyone know what it could be? I'm a uni student and are looking for a budget option to get it fixed. Also on another note I believe my brake pads are on there way out as the brakes are beginning to squeel louder everytime, what is the best option to replace them with? Thanks L3tho1

Alright guys i'm new into this whole car maintenance thing but i'm picking up real fast and really getting into it. I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla Hatch AE90 and was wondering what is the best engine oil to use for it as i'm starting to get low and am unsure on what type is best for it. Also I have been told by mechanics that my rear shockies are on their way out and was wondering what brand to replace them with. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
