  1. Long time that anyone has herd from me but hey hi everyone..... I just had to post on this tread after reading all the crap posted.... Theory and real world are 2 different things..... To the guyz putting **** on the setup up....Show us how its fuqing done on your car instead of sitting infront of your computer hatin with one hand on your dik and the other on the keyboard typing ******* personally i rekon this bloke is a freakn champ and belive me the 2zz will have no issues spinning up the bigger turbo.....as one sane bloke mentioned turbo lag is nothing when comparing it to the stivo's power band of 6000 to 7850 "finally someone with a brain" and with the close gearing of the box the car is going to be a bullet when it comes onto boost..... cant wait to see it finished!!!!!!! PS obviously this is too the guyz putting crap on the setup.......there is some cool and constuctive post here but it ****s me to tears when i read

Man i ran 19"s ages ago heaps of ppl on this forum would remember my mine was the one with the booster kit on the back....I ran the Lenzo modify's in 19X8 and had no issues with them.... i also ran a set of Apexi coilovers and lowered the car quite a bit and had no issues still....i'll email ya some pics if you like.... BUT... Stick with the originals with some good rubber and you'll be WAY WAY WAY ahead.... put the extra mony into some suspention work (lower it an inch or two and use stiffer springs on the ****) mate thats all the car needs to be turned into a weapon.....along with the better rubber your car will be very fast....then save up some more and put in an lsd

  6. Toyota have already said they are going to replace all the parts And its not going to cost me either. Seeing as the car is still under warranty (for another 5,000k's) Yeah, the noise goes after the clutch has been depressed. True about the 6-speed and 5-speed Ive heard they are both pretty strong Not in this case though ey? Do you know what usually causes this problem at such an early stage? thank you mf lucky stars that toyota are replacing stuff under warranty on your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. highly unlikely pete that it would get to 140kw atw with just the motec .... reason i say this is the engineers @ motec sent me the dyno run statistics from their work on a sportivo and it wasnt even close 2 that figure .... lol hence my caful choice of words :)
  8. id definantly go for the Apple duo core big HP gains to be had there!!!!! Nahh as mantioned the MoTec is an awsome option i have not witnessed but have had a tuna claim 140kw atw aparently it was i think!!!!!!! neil bates' sportivo.... without CAI but using a hf cat and exhaust...

  11. Got waken up by the local paper dewd this morning with " I think someone broke into your car " and he was right! They smashed my 1/4 window unlocked the car and took the Alpine DVD Player (ipod interface as well) my TomTom navi and half a pack of dunhill blues "The Barstards" ciggies are getting expensive!!!.......I was relived that my arial was still there though idiots also left behind my limited edition chrome miniz monster truck which is worth a bit.....AAMI picked it up a few hours ago so should be back in a week or so.

  14. man i got rid of my trd cai and modded my air box and i can tell u not to much diff between the 2... the cai just souded cooler...

  17. i couldnt take it anymore so i just upgraded funni actually ive done that a farking lot with this car i so sick of its stuffups that toyota, never seem to be waranting anymore or caused by using the car in a sporting fashion and driver abuse causing everything else.....
  18. the ones we used were the last on the list (its a stivo btw) the t spirt ones anyone want help in getting the gear pm me and i'll give you race brakes number....again they are in wetherill park and happy to look after us club dewds.....

Only done the fronts so far..... running DBA disks slotted (grey ones) still aussie made still kangaroo paw with some green stuff pads to mach!!!! brekes stay very cool now even when absolutly thrashed now more warping or shakes and fading i got them from race brakes in wetherill park the dewd there is cool tell him pete sent ya from the corolla club he'll look after you I'll put pics up soon

  21. i agree... guyz the pipe can be hot as but remember when driving (at speed) how long does the air entering the intake take to get to the throttle body??? ever picked up a warm garden hose in summer???? hot yes??? is the water (bar the water that has been heated up in it) come out warm......um no and thats travling though a 20-30 meter hose!!!!! ( again after the hot water comes out first" the CAI getting hot under the bonet is nothing to ever realy be concerned about, unless it is on fire! then you must dial 000 and clear the area of people so they dont get hurt, unless you dont like em! in that case tie their shoelaces together and use one of those impossible double knots that con at the fruit market uses on your bag of tomatoes that you need to attack with a kitchen knife to open!! oh why do they do that !!! its so anoying!!!! anyway back to the fire yeah.... shoelaces.....hey do you remember back in the 80's it was in too "checker your laces" i had done mine fluro green and white they were cool! you can heat sheild the intake but no that will not make the stivo go from a mid 15 sec soupped up trolly to a 10 sec animal prolly wont even gain 0.001 of a sec and if you do have fun arguing it was the sheilding and not a bug that got stuck to bumper half way down the track..... come to think of it, the sheilding might even slow the car down due to the extra weight....the gains and differences that we are talking are so farken small its not even worth sitting here writing about it or even reading so feel free to skip down to the next post as i'll prolly not write anything else worth reading "maybe".... actually yes i will... if you are really concerned about the temp of the CAI swap back to the standard intake and just mount the intake pipe down low toward the radiator there is a cool little spot for it there and there is like a round bump that sits in a hole further up the pipe....cut it out it will increase you throttle response or you can replace the whole pipe going into the box with a smother one and larger intake diameter which will pretty much mimik a CAI and use a pod filter on the end of it...it actually sounds cool cause the box makes it sound trotyer, or dont pod it and put a k&N panel in you still acheive great power increases and costs well...fark all anyways....have fun all
