  1. Unfortunately he hasn't got a clue what buttons he pressed but it was a combination of buttons. I was on a 3 lane h/wy at the time and the view behind was really good. Also be handy for keeping an eye on your trailer or seeing just how close that idiot tailgating you really is
  2. Had a friend in the car today who was pressing buttons on the nav system whilst I was driving and the reverse camera came on and stayed on for around 3-4mins then went off. Anyone else had this happen or know a sequence of buttons to press to make it happen again, friend couldn't remember which buttons he pressed, but it looked really great to see the road/traffic behind me :D
  3. Saw one on eBay yesterday.......was at $50
  4. Blackkluger, there is no specific Li "kit" for the Kluger as yet, mine was a one off custom installation...the only one done with JTG liquid injection. No dyno was done but it definately feels better, no power loss only gain. On a 1000k trip last w/end towing a fully loaded 3 bike trailer, fully loaded car it went like a dream. I do the same trip every 6 weeks and I noticed a huge difference in it just wanted to fly along. Installer is still doing some changes/fine tuning etc so cant comment on the fuel economy yet but its still cheaper to run on gas than petrol. PM me if you want more details or when the car is fully sorted I will post up the figures and some pics.
  5. LPG tank replaces the spare tyre and most people carry one of those tyre slime repair kits or you can throw the spare in the back. Around the city I leave the spare at home, on a trip w/out a trailer I'll throw it in the back , usually I have a trailer on trips so I had a bracket made to hold the spare on the side of the trailer.
  6. I've got long range on my Kluger, have the standard petrol tank and 68 litres (usable) of LPG ( JTG Liquid Injection) but only just had the install done so cant quote all the figures yet.

    A/C Odour

Pity Toyota Aus don't taske it seriously, my dealer gave me a bottle of air freshener to address the problem
  8. My mate has had LPG (Vapour system) on his '08 Kluger for around 12 mths now and is very happy with it. I put a deposit down in May '08 for the Liquid Injection JTG system and am still waiting over 12 mths later so don't hold your breath! ALPGW have pushed back the Kluger kit a couple of months at a time since then and it was supposed to be in fitting last week but hey! they pushed it back again!!!!! Anyway, I've been stuffed around by both the installer and ALPGW and there are now no toroidal tanks left in Aus so I will have to wait for the next shipment and less Goverment rebate Thats what u get for putting your money down and being a patient customer.
  9. Can you send calender entries from your mobile phone via bluetooth to the Grande calender?

    tailshaft clunk

My Grande has a couple of different clunks, one from the front end when turning and sometimes another really loud one from the mid/rear. Just sooo tired of taking my car to the dealer but hopefully will get around to it in the next week or so. Then again, last time I asked them to check out the 'clunks' they said there was nothing wrong so I might be better taking it to a real mechanic to have it diagnosed first :(
  12. Would love to compare v15 to v14 ....... ;)
  13. Took my Kluger for it's 20,000k service to my dealer a couple of weeks ago and specifically asked them to check the engine air filter as I had been doing lots of country driving and in dusty conditions. This service specifies that the air filter is inspected but I asked anyway. Picked up the car and noticed that the dust had been blown from the engine bay and it looked reasonably clean. Had some niggling doubts though so went to my local mechanic who checked the air filter for me while I watched. The filter was filthy, full size bees and bugs through it and dirty as well. I hadn't been touched even though my receipt stated 'inspected air filter element'. Rang the service dept and was told 'the best we can do is apologize.' Asked to speak to the service manager who also apologized and said we will look after you next service......hmmm, maybe they might have checked it next service, or maybe the one after? Wonder if it's ever been checked before? Makes you wonder if the tyre rotation and balance gets done either!!!! Also had 'check key battery' showing up on display and had asked the dealer to check that.......was told there was nothing wrong, all ok. Went bush last week and went to the car to start packing up and remote was dead as a doornail, can't start the car and the nearest town is 45mins drive away.....thanks again to my dealer!!!! Had to get a neighbour to drive the return trip to town...1 1/2 hrs to get a battery for the remote before I could could pack up and drive 4+ hours home.
  14. Thanks, all, disc just needed finalising.
  15. How do I playback MP3' or WMA discs on the Grande? I have tried burning discs with either WMA or MP3 files but cannot get them to play, it comes up saying "no music file." I am a complete newb to this and have no idea..... Thanks

    Handbrake

It was me with the parkbrake problems and I still have them.... Dealer adjusted the parkbrake numerous times, then they machined the pads to roughen them up, still no better, they then replaced the p/brake cable, no different...... Toyota Aust then came out to check out the angle of my driveway which it would not hold on (unfortunately I was away at the time and was not informed of the result). Dealer then replaced all cables and shoes with new and it just held with lots of moans and groans on my driveway. Now, once again, mashed to the floor, especially when parked backwards, it doesn't hold at all.......if the pin in the gearbox ever broke the car would be a goner.
  17. Had a message flash up on the screen that the key ring/remote battery needs replacing 'contact dealer' but can't see how the unit comes apart. Anyone repaced their battery in the remote? Surely it doesn't need the dealer to do it?
  18. Sunroof will slide open and take the shade slider with it, when it closes it doesn't close the liner though. Next service I will ask about having it done, any idea if there is a fee for this? I'd also go for the windows to shut if that was available.
  19. Thanks for the reply, I did start the original thread ages ago, just thought I'd see if anyone had bothered to do the fogs as well. I have just sourced some Lightforce XGT's to see if they fit in the nudge bar, then I want to convert them to hid. Was considering doing the lot all at once if it's practical. Thanks, Ann
  20. Has anyone changed the Grande fog/driving lights to Hid's? If so, how much difference did it make, how difficult and where did you mount the ballasts? Same with the headlights, anyone done it and had any problems? Kluger lights are pretty average stock. Any details appreciated, Thanks

    Gas

Blackkluger I paid my deposit for lpg back in August at the same time as a mate of mine. He went ahead and had his Kluger converted to the vapour system back then but I heard of the JTG Liquid system and immediately changed my order to the Li system. My local installer went to Melbourne and did the training at ALPGW and said the Kluger was high on the list for conversion. Last I heard was they had no timeframe for the Kluger so I'm getting a bit frustrated after waiting so long. Is it a definite for after Christmas? or 'maybe mid year if lucky' like my installer told me. Anyone else who is interested in a conversion, please ph Australian LPG Warehouse (03 9770 2287) and they might realise just how many Klugers there are out there. There is no power loss with Li lpg only a power gain and better economy than the vapour lpg systems. Lots of info here http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.ph...p;highlight=lpg as Falcons &Territory were done first.
  22. Was thinking the same thing just last week, I'm "Sutherland Shire " as well

    Gas

Was that quote for JTG Liquid Injection? If so that sounds like a good price. Can you confirm which system it is? Li is said to give more power/torque than ULP ( a few more killerwasps) and ~ 5% -10% better fuel economy than the vapour injection.

    Gas

I was quoted ~$4,500 for the Eurogas Vapour kit which is when I put my dep down months ago. I then heard about the Liquid Injection JTG system shortly after and changed my order to JTG Li and am happy to wait as I believe it is a much better system. I have not yet been given a price on the JTG. My mate with a Kluger Grande paid $4,500 for the Eurogas vapor kit at the same installer and is very happy with his system.
