  1. Woolen Car Seat Covers I had lambswool seat covers on my old Hilux which were great as they made the seats bearable on long trips up the snow. I'm sure there would be a leather equivalent but these guys make a seat cover with an airbag seam in the side that "allows the air bag to deploy perfectly in the event of an accident". I'm sure there would be a leather mob that would have the same type of thing if you wanted leather....
  2. Hi Sanz. Nice wheels, can you tell me how much they are?
  3. This is correct. There are Aurion car seat covers available on the Toyota website that are recommended for this reason, although they look shyte. Maybe you could modify a seat cover with velcro or similar?
  4. Looks great Davo. Really sets those wheels off, too.
  5. Wildfire was more of a traditional red and is no longer available on the SX-6 or the ZR-6. Inferno is an ochre red, like outback Australian dirt red. I'm not a fan, to be honest and I wish the range had a bit more variety when it comes to colour. A nice rich red (Holden have RedHot which looks great) a dark gun-metal grey (Ford have Ego, which is a great colour IMO), a deep midnight blue (with the black highlights and the chrome finishes, it would look great) or even a British racing green colour would certainly cover eveyone's tastes. The Aurion has a great shape but the colour range is very limited and that's one area I think Toyota need to improve.
  6. Has anyone tinted their headlights?
  7. Just curious, Saintly, but what colour do you see it as?
  8. This is what I mean. I've seen this 'Inferno' colour mentioned numerous times and each time it looks different. This is the TRD Aurion, supposedly in Inferno Red. Now, I like that red but the image on the Toyota website, which is the one Danos posted - looks "orangey" - and I'm not as keen on that colour. if they had the inferno red which is the trd concept color, i would pick that with my eyes closed. so sexy. but unfortunately they only have it on trd aurion. You sure that's not Wildfire - which is a red not currently available on the SX6 or the ZR6 this is what i know. the trd aurions production model red color is different to the concept color and the normal aurion range. theres a cherry redish color in the aurion range and i think thats the one you guys are talking about that has been just removed from the list. that was the color that i recommended. i dont know why i wrote inferno red above. mustve mixed it up with some other red. the color that i would pick with my eyes closed is trd aurions concept models color. sorry for hedfuk :) Buri_ZR6, I don't think it's you. Go to any site selling Aurions, be it carsales, Drive, Car Point etc, most of the 'Red' cars are advertised as Inferno Red - when I don't think they are. Most are second hand/ex demo and I think many are in fact Wildfire. I can't actually find a good photo of a car with the colour like this: In fact, the white is looking more and more appealing....

You sure that's not Wildfire - which is a red not currently available on the SX6 or the ZR6 This is what I'm thinking, Danos, I think people are getting confused and calling it 'Inferno' when really it's 'Wildfire'. But get onto Google and type in "Inferno Aurion" and you get pages of cars that look, to me, like Wildfire. Which makes me wonder why Toyota would delete this colour from the SX6/ZR6 line-up when it looks a great colour for the car. If the 'Inferno' is indeed a burnt orange, I won't be getting it.
  10. So the TRD Inferno red is different to the SX6/ZR6 Inferno red?????? If that's true, then Toyota are idiots.

  12. Right, I'm in the market for a SX6 Aurion but I have a problem. I can't decide which colour I like. I've seen a white in the flesh and was impressed but my last 3 cars have been white and I feel I need some colour. I took a black ZR6 for a test drive. It was a wet day and the black looked sensational but you do tend to lose the black highlights around the front and back of the car. One colour that I've yet to see is Inferno. The pics on the web make it hard to tell what it truely looks like. Has anyone seen this colour? Is it red or more 'burnt orange'? Can you still get an SX6 in a nice red? If anyone in the SE of Melbourne owns an Inferno Red SX6 or ZR6 and would be willing to let me have a look at it, I would appreciate it. Cheers.
  13. AcoustiK, did you check out the Endurance tint at the Tint Professor? On their website they recommend the Endurance tint for black cars. Has anyone seen how this looks and would they recommend it? Endurance was the silvery one is it?, I was recommended the blackish one, as the car has chrome window lining the black on black works great. Yep, the Endurance is more "neutral" and "reflective". I must say, from the pics, I prefer the black tint.
  14. It took me 10 minutes to figure out where it was and how it worked.... On the test drive, the dealer says 'Hop in" and proceeds to tell me where everything is and how it works - from the radio to the cigarette lighter. But he did forget one thing... I pushed the footrest two or three times. I asked the missus and she shrugged her shoulders. Then I found the knob and tapped it sideways, tried lifting it with my foot then I finally pushed it hard enough for the light to go off. Slightly embarrassing but we got there in the end...

  16. I'm looking at purchasing a SX6 in the next few weeks, I took one for a test drive on the weekend. It was black and looked sensational but I wanted to see the 'Inferno' colour in the flesh, just to see for myself what it looked like. I rang 6 dealerships from Mornington to Ferntree Gully and no one has an Inferno Red SX6 or ZR6 in stock. The salesperson from Frankston, however, rang me later in the day to tell me her friend drives one and that I can pop in and see it on Saturday arvo. Hard to believe that Toyota wouldn't have a single Inferno red car in the SE of Melbourne but there you go. No wonder delivery is so long, not even the dealers can get them..... :)
  17. Thanks for the replies. Around $750 isn't too bad. One more question, though, can the tow bar be removed easily or, once it is on, is it best to leave it in place? My old Falcon, you could slide the tongue out, pop it in the boot and not have to worry about banging into it in the dark or having someone knock it off. Can this be done with the Aurion or is it a permanent fixture?
  18. Just wondering how much this option costs? I'm looking at getting an SX-6 in the next few weeks. Cheers.
  19. Acceleration Video It's still there, you just have to dig :D EDIT: Sorry, follow that link, hit the "Features" part of the menu (3rd from the top) and you should see 5 white dots appear over the Aurion. The one on the far right says "Acceleration". Hit that and the video will load.
  20. In Victoria there is a 3km/h tolerance for all limits but you have to be stiff to get done given the radars and speed cameras also have a 3-4km/h tolerance. If you can stay on or around 60 (so 64-65, you won't get a ticket. And, as written here before, most speedos are out by 2 or 3km/h anyway.
