  1. Hi all. just wondering if anybody knows if the rear seat in a ae112 seca would go into a ae102 seca. Like a straight change over bolts clips line up etc? Thanks :)
  2. The Toyota ones were oval ones not 6x9 what ever size down from those 5x8 4x7 dunno This is what i have in now 5inch focals on thin mdf These are the bolts i need to undo basically i need to get rid of the speaker frame so i can get to the seatbelt bolt. But one of the bolts on the right (hidden) i cant get to because its soughta below the trim in front of it So i am wondering how this section of trim comes off and wihich way i have to pull it, up or into the car or what? Sorry about my ramblings, i'm just starting to try and do things on my car my self Armstrong just wondering if you have any rattle metalic sounds in the back of your car? Drives me nuts
  3. Hi all, i've got a '96 ae102 hatchback. I'm wondering how i go about removing the plastic from the sides of the trunk area, and also off the tailgate. I have removed the top speaker covers and now i am left with 4 screws along the top (2 in the speaker frames and 2 into the cream coloured trim), i've un-done those but still cant work out how i remove it from behind the taillights where it meets the boot rubber. Is it clipped as well or somthing? just dont want to pull on it and break somthing. Reason i'm pulling it all apart is that i want to replace my seatbelts in the back and try and fix up some plastic type rattles, and maybe put in some sound deadning while im there. Also how would i go about replacing my front seatbelts getting the B-pillar trim off etc.. Thanks :)
  4. Why are you not considering a focal sub are they no good? i would think they would blend with the fronts the best being the same brand?
  5. What i mean is the tyres were fd. They were new too. All they did was put them on a spinner thing and you could see the tread wasnt cut straight low and high points in the tread. What brand of tyres have you got? I had Pirelli now got bridgestone and drives beutiful now
  6. Dammit, not even the newest Corolla come with something like that? I can't afford a headunit, nor can i find a cheap one thats teh same size as the current one. They 100 Bucks though --" that's a killer to my budget. What a waste of time this thread is, u say u can't afford 100 bucks don't waste peoples time when u cant even afford that. btw how on earth did u afford a current corolla??
  7. I had the same problem on my corolla, steering quivering left and right. Found out it was the tyres with all humps and bumps through them. Do the tyres look ok tho the wheel joints do they?
  8. As a brand i would never EVER buy Pirelli again. Had 2 sets of p6000's and both were sh*t not even round BOTH sets!! I have Bridgestones now, had nothing but Bridgestones actually never had a problem until the bloody Pirelli's. Only ever buy Bridgestone i say you cant go wrong with them.
  9. Why did you need to replace the tyres on a 07 corolla anyway? do you do alot of kays?
  10. Thats the most rediculous thing i have ever seen. Vandal magnet for sure. Nice mirrors though
  11. Haha go Morrison! more trumpet playing on the show the better!! :D
  12. Head units: Alpine Eclipse Nakamici Macintosh Speakers: Focal Mb Quart Cerwin Vega Amps: Focal Rockford fosgate Eclipse
  13. That is weird our YRS only has the switch for the rear foglight too. On the stick does it have OFF then the rear foglight symbol? Or does it have OFF rear fog symbol then front fog light symbol? If it dosn't i'd say you have turned it too far and broken the switch or you are very lucky and they have put the YRX switch on your YR.
  14. Thanks for the advice, i've never had headlight dimming even when i put the volume up to very loud, so loud you cant sit in the car. I was thinking more for sq when you put it up loud, The yellow top battery i put in is a 750CCA. and is designed to run alot of accesories aparantly.
  15. Hi just wondering how many ppl have a capicitor on their stereos. I'm only running 1 alpine 5ch amp, 50x4. 200x1. With focal speakers and 1 sub. Just had an optima yellow top put in which has made quite a difference i think. I'm a bit confused because ive had differing opinions from the car stereo place i go to. One guy said i should get one put in and the other said i would be wasting my money.
  16. I'd go a focal or rockford amp. I have an alpine v12 5ch atm, it's good but i wouldn't buy another alpine amp i dun think
  17. ive got velcro along bottom and back along back of seat. surprisingly strong. never moved Is your echo a hatch or sedan?
  18. It sounds to me like you are not giving it enough gas taking off and its on the verge of stalling. Just give it more gas taking off, then no more shudder
  19. thanks for the advice. I just wonder why they don't do that from the factory. And no way that it could be the first yaris for these problems that they have had in. They act like they have never heard of such a problem.
  20. It's the hatch by the way duno if that make any difference :)
  21. Hi all :) ive got a couple of questions about buzzy soughta rattle noises in my mums yaris. first, the centre plastic trim in front of the speedo is quite creaky and buzzy (not the perspex the bit in front of it), does any one else with a yaris have or had this problem? and is it fixable? coz it seems to be getting worse, and the tech at toyota said well it is plastic. im just wondering if felt or somthing put under it would fix it? secondly, the trim on the A pillars (drivers side) seem to be quite noisy and makes popping soughta noises and when u press on it it stops. does anyone know how one would go about fixing that? its the airbagless one. sounds like the trim buzzing against a clip or somthing. if u put a whole lot of felt or somthing in there would it fix it? thanks
  22. nah nah nah..... ae102 hatch that look but better hehehwhat about ke30 corolla sedan i reckon they were one of the better looking corollas too :P
  23. whats wrong with the new corolla hatch looking like a yaris? not really surprising since it was desingned by the same people in france as the yaris. and if you want a brand new corolla hatch you havnt got much choice. i personaly think the ae102 corolla was one of the better looking of the hatches, i'm prob bit biased since i own one lol

    Road Tests

wiat till the new Prado comes out it will have more space than the kluger. It''s still the old one not a fair comparison really
  25. We drove both 1.3 and 1.5 both manuals. The 1.3 seemed too busy all the time. So we bought the 1.5 just seemed a little nicer. And i also beleve the 1.5 has taller gearing than the 1.3. So i think take off performance is about the same. So i think at highway speed the 1.5 would rev lower, hence use prob less fuel than the 1.3 anyway. Go for the 1.5 it's just nicer to live with.
