Own & operate my own business - repairs of stone chips, scratches & cut/polishing. Mainly servicing used car yards but also do private vehicles on request. -
Does anyone on here know of a really good PS repairer. Anywhere in Melb will be ok but prefer western subs if possible. Thanks.

Hi all, I was wondering who on here has done an unusual/crazy engine transplant. I would like to do a 1G-GTE from a GA70 Supra into an RT142 Corona. Just trying to gather personal experience info. Thanx.

Can anyone advise me how to remove the stereo head unit from a AE112R corolla. I cant find any screws or clips that hold it in. Of course, i will need to get the centre upper console that it sits in, out also. Thanx.

Where are u located? If in Melb perhaps i can help. See my sig. PS: I just read in ur other thread that ur car is silver. That puts a whole other degree of difficulty into the situation. Put it this way, if u want touch ups to look good on a car don't buy a silver car. The problem of "metallic flip" rears its ugly head in a big way. Thanks buddy , saw ur sig** , looks like u know what u do...thats great...i am in nunawading ...so how can u help ??feel free to PM me if u like.. cheers!! PM sent.

How could you forget mine, DUDE!? Remember?......H O T S U P Sorry, just had to be a bit self indulgent. :P -
This is the 1st chance ive had to get on & post since sunday. Enjoyed the cruise very much even though i did get stuck behind slow traffic on the road from lorne to apollo bay. Thanks to all who participated & thanks to guni for doing such a great job organising it. Loved the corolla with the 20 valve 4AGE. My supe performed exceptionally well, as usual. Worked out my fuel consumption: 9L/100k & thats with pushing the car hard, even got up to ***kph a couple of times (wont say exactly here how much) . Looking forward to another one.

THanks man. Yeah always keeping the car looking sexy. ;) Reg polishes and all. Yeah na It was great. Pushed it real hard some corners but by the end of it my tires felt a lil too slippy for my likings. But yeah so i backed it off. I also backed it off after I went sideways on the blind corner where BonBon went on the other side of the road. Lol. I was a car behind him. Went around and saw and was like holy ***** e. Cheers to the guy in the Aurion (soz forgot ya name) for braking behind me there cause a few more guys would have run up the a r s e of us if you didnt. But na great fun. Hopefully soon enough I will put on more stable tires. I had gone around a really easy bend at 110 and took the out-in-out technique and i was coming out of the corner my car felt like it was sliding across the road. Not good. But hey gotta love slotted discs. You did really well on the cruise, obviously taking some cues from going on cruises with me in the supe. Remember I rercommended that you at least put Bridgy RE92's back on. I had 2 sets of those on the Corona & they were excellent. Even if you come across a 2nd hand set with good tread, should be good.

N/A SW20 MR2s sold in Aus were all 3SGE, big difference from the 3SFE found in SV21 Camrys and ST-spec ST162 Celicas. Of course, could have just been a typo Yeah, sorry, i did mean 3SGE

It's well over a month since I saw it, so I doubt it's still there. Thanks to the wisdom of this forum I now know better and I hope to get a nice ma70 or jza70, maybe a celica gt4 ... a guy around the corner wants to sell his gt4 but it has a shocking paintjob on it .... mind you I saw a very pretty looking mr2 the other day, anyone know much about them? I know it's a mid-engine thingy but not a lot more. Cheers. Jack Hi Jack, a good celica GT4 is an awesome car. I wouldnt mind one myself. MR2 is certainly a worthy car to consider. The SW20 or Mk2 model would be the one to look at. Only NA versions were sold through Aus toyota dealers. Toyota japan produced turbo versions so you would have to find a private import if you want turbo. A buddy of mine had a turbo MR2 & I found it went surprisingly well. The NA engine was the 3SFE & the turbo engine was 3SGTE. Be aware the MR2 is purely a 2 seater.

A very good friend of mine owns & runs a caryard in Melbourne's western suburbs & recently has had malicious severe scratch damage done to 80% of his stock. Most of the cars that were damaged were in pristine condition. I am asking anyone here if they have heard anyone bragging about doing something like this in the last week or 2, please let me know. We would like to get justice against these ppl with the law. You can let me know anonymously if you know anything via PM. This has come close to destroying my friend financially. What sort of society are we in when this type of thing takes place. I'm sure the ppl that did this wouldn't like it done to their car.

Should be an absolute HOOT!! I checked the BOM site & the rain is moving away from Warrigul & Kurrumburra areas. Hopefully we'll only see light showers.

GA70!!!! LOL!!!!!!!! GA's were purely for the Japanese market only when they were released & should have stayed there. They're a bit of a joke really. What were Toyota thinking??? Get a JZA70 or MA70
