  1. Ok after some intensive research i have Found the Answer!!! The Stock Gear Stock that is installed on the 2000 onwards are 12MM x 1.25 Metric Twist Top.
  2. im sure i can make it. i havent before. cause i was soo bz.. so meet at the maccas or between maccas and bunnings carpark?
  3. Hey guyz, i am stunned that i have forgotton the thread size of the gear stick. The thread is measured in Metric, as far as i know also the stock gear knob is leather black and screws perfectly onto the stick. Alli need to know that whats the size of that thread. 12mm x 1.25? 12mm x 1.5 or 12mm x 1.75? or all of those are wrong. This is for the ZR Series
  4. (QUOTE) My fren shifts like that..he changes gear without using the clutch...all he does is push it lightly into the gear he wants to engage..n then he knows when to push it in..n its so smooth..no crunching or whatever..it just goes in quietly n continue driving..all u have to do is know the timing when to push it in... I think its not good for the car thou cos its not designed to be used like this (QUOTE) yes that is exactly what i meant..... since all you people say its Unhealthy for the car. But i do not intention to continue doing it. neverwould in the first place. just a New Experience or New Thing i accidently found out.... That Video of the Honda guy with white face shifting, is exactly what i did, but anyways, i relised you can only change the gears if you get it at the right RPM ONLY. like i said it just slips in. Well then it helps you guyz can speculate better than i can. I hope people out there dont try this. it May damage your gearbox... its better to clutch to release stress.. to shift.
  5. Hey there Friends.. I have a problem, i dont know if this is bad or good... but i dont want to do it, anyways.. I Clutch into gear 1. as a normal driver should... to start to go... then the rest you gotta clutch in to change gears.... all the way to 6. now. i dunno Now, i gear onto Gear 1. as normal. then the rest, i accelerate to 40kmph, i let go of the accelerator then i shift to gear 2 without having to clutch, same deal with 3rd forth, and 5th and 6th gear. has anyone? got this problem? i have a mate that has had this as well on a 5th Gen Prelude.. hmm.. seems that the gears just slipped into gear, my cluch isnt worn as well. no slippage.

  10. Automatic Advantages: - More Pulling Power - Simple Disadvantages - Booring - Uncool - More Likely to involve in a Fatigue - As time gets older, the transmissions changes gears really suck, big delay - Too expensive to replace if Broken - More petrol used in immobilised position MANUAL Advantages: - Increased Kilowatts on a Stock Car By Manufacturer than compared to a Automatic - Chicks Dig It - Fun - Flexibility in changing gears to what ever you prefer, you can even skip gears!! - Fuel Efficient - (celica) - You can win against an Audi TT Quatro in a 300 Meter Run... (LOL) I tried.. Disadvantages: - Rubbing the clutch, eg Uphill starts. - Stalls - A standard clutch has 7 year Life, whilst Auto has more advantage in life. - Slippage if worn, and may require to involve in more spending money to re-machine the flywheel, if u keeep driving a worn clutch lol!

  13. haha changing a clutch isnt a DIY JOB... you would need to raise your car.. at least. if there were instructions... prob most likely it would tell me to take my whole engin apart and no instruction to re-install it. :P

  15. if u get a new clutch, $550 inc labour + clutch installed. go to an asian auto mechanic and bargain with him lol.. they do cheap competitive proces. unlike ultratune and other non asian places lol

  17. LoL i custom made my outer bracket.. i use a 90 degree small alluminium piece and drilled a hole on both sides, and then screwed the piece on the the wooden bracket... damn.. but i stilll have to drill out those rivets such a pain
  18. Your clutch are worn out.. so it seems normal to drive in low tempreture, as soon and u rub it abit more and cause friction it will heat up. thus slippage comes into place,,, But if you go on driving for another few months or so.. or even days... You may experience more slippage and more... untill you cant even drive. or reaach friction point in gear 1. to go,, its best to replce the clutch asap when you know its worn out.. cause also if you dont these may occur: 1. Flywheel requires Re-Machined. (Flywheel gets damaged) 2. Buuuurning sensation in the clutch, lol.. which actually does smell.. but when its worn hmm nothing... 3. Your car will stay in 1 spot and u cant move.. and may require towing.. if you keep driving
