Minor / Major engine problems in 04 sportivo
dlift replied to j.c's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
I dont think it has anything to do with lift as he says the bogging down happens around 3000-5000rpm.. way before lift kicks in, and it happens even when the engines warm? Doesnt sound like something common.. just wait around for a bit and surely someone can help you out. -
farr.. nice wheels.. dude u told me u were broke! haha anyway, when are u gunna be dumpin it on sum kings?
-
lol yeh i guess.. powdercoating cost me $150 for all four wheels. I probably could have got them done for $120 elsewhere but these guys were very quick and had great customer service.

Thanks guys =) for the positive feedback. Everything I did to my car was all influenced by this forum so I'm glad to hear that you guys like what I've done.. As for future mods.. not too sure. Maybe just some KYB Excel G's or even Koni reds/yellows to replace the oem shocks when they go and an Exedy HD clutch+fly wheel. Other stuff like strut braces, shortshifter+weighted gear knob, coilovers, power fc, I'll consider if they pop-up in the forum for a good price. But yeh, I might be looking to buy something turbo(MPS 3/6, 09 WRX, XR5, Golf GTI, Evo 8/9, GTR), prefably something all-paw or tail happy in the next few months so might hold back on everything. dlift

Sup dudes! Been on here for over a year and was too lazy to introduce myself or post up my ride.. so here we go. I live in the western suburbs of nsw and drive a 2003 Sportivo. Bought it January last year after selling my 2000 Golf 2.0L Sport. Got it for 17.6k and was bone stock and in mint condition with 30,000kms on the clock(Now 50kkms =/). My current car and my old golf.. And the mods began.. King lows front, superlows rear(as suggested by SB), Whiteline rear sway bar, Phillips DV bulbs, Corolla door sills, JDM Taillight mod, debadged tailgate, SolarTint 20% all round, eyelids, colour coded mudflaps+eyelids. Slotted rotors, GreenStuff pads and gold painted calipers. Red center console mod. Sub, mono, 4chan, 6" splits - all JL Audio along with Alpine deck installed. Injen CAI installed. New shoes wrapped in Potenza G3s. 2.5" Catbak w/ twin tip by Liverpool Exhaust. And weathersheilds put on. Then last but not least.. Got my wheels powercoated charcoal grey at Preston Powdercoats(Great work and they are soo quick..strongly recommend them) and installed the grille I bought off Leroy for a bargain =) Cheers

Don't mind the look of the mudguard option - has anyone here gone this way? (My car still looks too a55-up without a skirt or something to tie it in with the side skirts.....) Wow.. I would definitely go for the mudguards! Anyone know if they are still available? Or where I can source them from?

Advice needed for my 2005 Corolla Sportivo
dlift replied to Cee_Sportivo's topic in Suspension & Brakes
on stock shocks the back will sit lower.. i am on KYB's with the lows up front and super low rears Hey mate, just wondering how do the KYB shocks feel compared to your king lows/super lows+stock shocks? I'm thinking about getting them and just wanted to know, was there any improved handling or comfort? And do the KYB shocks come as a complete strut? Cheers, dlift -
