  1. no need for people movers now, just pack as many as you can in the car
  2. my old avalon in a 3.0L v6 was easily doing 180 and was still pushing. had the road turned into a curve, then i might of hit the magical 200 mark. the 3.5l v6 should easily hit over 228kph :D
  3. rofl so creative, if only other people spent half the time doing something important, the world will get somewhere
  4. mind you all the incredibly slow drivers hog the right lane. LEARN TO DRIVE
  5. of course they will endorse it, it was a cover story for the lpg company. like everyone said, if you want to save fuel buy a diesel or those ghastly hybrids. or even better switch to a corolla.
  6. nothing special, just for the tradie who has everything... boy do they make money!! but i agree in that its too over the top in design and price. quite ugly in my opnion
  7. whats with the need for people movers to be overly powerful?
  8. i think its beacause mine is 6 years old compared to the newer models. hey it doesn't matter too much, its just that fuel consumption is dreadful and i often see it at 2800rpm when crusing when it should be 1800-2000. but thats just life
  9. white aurions are very attractive beasts. it use to be people choosing white to bump resale ratings...
  10. i dont think the aurion is restricted for p-platers. I read in a letter in carsguide with a p-plater saying he can drive a sport aurion yet can't drive a massive people mover cx-9. (his words not mine).\ But why would you want to drive a people mover anyway... unless its the new fashion thing
  11. it varies with me. If the richmond tigers get the finger out of thier backsides and win a few games, then afl all the way. Both otherwise its man united for me as well. cheers
  12. that happened to me twice in 4 days. The smell is almost unbearable. We had covered 2000km in the period but it would happened when we had driven for 2 hours straight and would remain for one or two mins.
  13. it also depends on how the engine was runned in, in the initial stages.
  14. the epica is absoulutely rubbish. In wheels, the idiots who compared the cars (if you call it a comparision) would rather the epica to a camry!! But i guess the epica is reasonably affordable for the masses.
  15. it actually looks like its alive scary huh?
  16. should of stuck with the magna name. Never let americans design the interior and exterior of your car. Its a great car, mechanically and dynamically, but the presenattion of the plastics and the bland interior.
  17. just genearlising here, but people who buy hybrids are the people who want to shout: "look at me i'm doing my bit for the environment." so we see incredible sales of the gastly looking prius. Yet other normal hybird cars, civic hybird and camry hyrid (in america) aren't very sellers. just my thoughts
  18. same kind of thing happened, i was waiting to reverse, so i put it in reverse and waited until coast was clear. some lady tried to squeeze through the car park, nicked my car and claimed that i reversed into her. We debated long and hard and finally found some witnesses who sided with me. Even then the lady was reluntant to hand over details!!
  19. i always go to wollies as i work at the fresh food people, hence 4c discount. but when i think about it 4c off a litre isn't too much, might as well fill up at a BP. I hear their fuel is highly recommended.
  20. don't get me wrong it's an improvement, but can't help thinking is that the only way to spend 20-30k. So much choice now...
  21. well i bought my avalon because people thought it was underrated (i bought it 2nd hand) so the resale dropped like nothing. I mean buying a camry of same year would of easily added 2-3K easily. But main thing is, its ultra reliable.
  22. i drive an avalon, basically a reskinned camry, and the v6 slurps around 9-13L/100. So average is now sitting on 11.5L/100kms. Not too bad considering im using 91 octane (the crap they sell at wollies and coles)
  23. any discounts on those waits. i mean half a year is an awfully long time to wait, might offer some incentives for the poor customers (not just free floor mats!!)
