    tailshaft clunk

weird.........well,just take it to Service and let us know what they found.........
  2. Fact is that all car manufacturers share more and more parts between their models for cost cutting purposes. Some are able to hide it better than others......... Again, don't think Venza will come to OZ as we are to small market. Back to topic..........facelift ? Maybe 6 speed, indicators in side mirrors.........i just don't expect to much.

    maybe steering shaft clunk ?
  4. Well if you compare BMW X 5 and X 6 they share 90 % of parts and they are virtually identical. But, each of them actracts different buyers. Same will happen in USA with Venza and Highlander. Don't believe it will come here as we are to small market and it probably would affect Kluger sale. Decimating Lexus ? Don't think so as again they will apear to different public - value for money vs touch of class. (THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION)
  5. I wouldn't say Venza is replacement. Venza is more like Murano or CX7 size and it is listed under "cars" Kluger/Highlander is SUV/peoplemover.
  6. thats for that, i will check it all out btw - does the kluger doors lock automatically once you start driving ? good safety feature especially here in sydney Not from factory, but it can be programed..............
  7. Does the Grande head unit support CD-MP3 Emulation mode? Were you able to mount the SoundLinQ unit somewhere accessible so that you don't have to open up the dash to program it? You can mount it wherever you want, but you must remove head unit to conect it.Once you connect it you program it straight away. Once done you really don't need to have it accesible. For removing HU there's good DIY (use search button)
  8. I take delivery of my Kluger Grande tomorrow, I have been reading the posts for a couple of days, my question is which SoundlingQ2 product are you talking about SLi, SL2i, SL2i-UP, SL2Vi. Thanks I have SL2i-UP
  9. Delay have settings normal and long Sensitivity:light1,light2,normal.dark1.dark2 I tried all settings and prefer factory settings. All other European and Jap brands work more or less the same.
  10. see........ http://www.vaistech.com/sli.php download operation manual....page 9
  11. Recently i upgraded my i pod interface to SoundlinQ2. With full i pod integration with all functions displayed and operated on touch screen it also have one great one : "i agree" automatic bypass Love it :yahoo:
  12. In case you extend delay you will get rid of "bridge"issue , but in same time delay will be to long when entering tunnel or underground carpark. Changing sensitivity is much better way.
  13. Remote start is not legal in Australia. You can get module for that from States.
  14. It is mobile phone issue. I done transfer from my Blackberry quick and easy, couldn't from Nokia. For certain new Nokia's is not possible to transfer Contact without additional software. Do bit of search, there is lot of car forums with similar issue. I know for fact that for Iphone you need extra softvare.

    KXR on 22's

Other than that i don't get it. Those tyres do nothing for performance even making performance worse off road and in the wet. If you want dry weather road performance you'd best just lower it. And I thought the 19" wheels on my KX-S were just a big Waank. 17" wheels are probably best for the car as it seems to be the KX-S and Grande that have the tyre problems, not the KX-R. I will give you my opinion: 99 % of people fit big mags on 4WD for looks only. 75 % of Kluger buyers will never go of road (beach or lawn doesn't count) Lover profile tyre will support cornering better making KXS and Grande handle better. Of course, because more load od tyres they will wear faster. Good choice of wheel and tyre will make car handle better. I know that lot of people go to Tempe and buy cheap heavy rims and China made tyes (Linglong,Nexen Achilles ans similar crap) On my Grande i had factory 19's , 20's and now 22 inch. It does handle better in both dry and wet. After 25K on same tyres there in no sign of wear (Aligment every 10K @ Dealership). As i work for Dealer, i drive Kluger's of all sorts on daily basis and i have good chance to compare. BTW, i got 22 inch for looks only - for performance i have another (very fast) toy.

That's pretty pathetic delivery serivice I got then. you'd think dealerships would just have deflater devices set to the right preasure and it would be the first thing they do when they prepare to deliver a new car. It got it's 1,000km check up today. The service guy also seemed pretty surprised. He recommended 36-40psi for that car. They all come inflated between 42-50 from factory. At Pre-Delivery they must all be adjusted to recomended pressure. But,like in any job, some technician had a bad day.................

If this the same unit as used in Prado's and LC's - the picture of the monitor on the website suggest it is for 5 tires. I agree, MFD would be better for that, but of not possible I'd go along with the design available. iTS SAME UNIT. 5 TYRES.

Thanks for the info. That is great I was waiting for something like this (e.g. actual accurate readings not those ones that just signal when the tyre in punctured only) for a while. I wonder how does it affect tires - e.g. is it fitted to existing ones, what happens when I replace one tyre (or all of them), does iy affect normal service by people like tyrepower, etc. Btw, how are these sensors inside the tires powered (don't like to change tyres because of a flat battery in a sensor) It would be great if you would kindly clarify that. Thanks I have seen Kluger TPMS today. Display gets mounted on mid console, between shifter and snow/hill descent button. Sensors/valves replace egzisting valves.......any tyre shop can do it and dont affect any tyre change/repair/service. Sensors batteries last longer then normal tyres do.
  21. It does not replace your door lock/unlock.Lock/unlock stays the same, for sunroof is press and hold. Basically, with unlock button pressed and held you doors unlock and roof opens. Then if you want you can short press lock you doors. Same for oposite.

Checked under Accessories - couldn't find. Which section? Thanks UPD: There's one for Landcruiser/Prado: perhaps Kluger's is the same (Kluger's list may not be updated with it yet). Not on site yet. Same unit. Harness and bracket is probably different,i'm waiting on manual with fitting position.......dont know where it gets fitted on Kluger. I done some LC200 and Prado's and they work well and dont give false warnings like some cheaper aftermarket ones.

As a dealer option ? Could you please tell me more about it? Thanks $495 RRP $622 RRP fitted check Toyota web site
  24. It can be set slide on/off or flip up/down by remote key. Done it on mine and it works fine. You will need to take it to Dealer and hope they will do it as is not offered as an option.
