  1. there's a speed alert in one of the streets in our estate, so i thought i'd test out the speedo. at a indicated speed of 60kph, the sign indicated i was travelling at 55kph.
  2. i will have to contact toyota then, because i definitely didn't get a seperate manual for the stereo.
  3. You just brought up a very valid point about leather (furniture). it gets very hot in summer and bloody cold in winter. that's one of the reasons i won't buy leather couches (and why i didn't mind getting the KX-R over the S.
  4. I've had the KX-R 7 seater FWD for about 2 months now, so I thought I'd add my 2-cents. -no speed alert, -volume buttons on the steering wheel are at an odd angle, -really cheap feeling headliner (odd considering they have pretty good material in the door trims), -lack of lumbar adjustment in the driver's seat, -lack of space in the back with the third row seat up, -nothing in the owners manual that relates specifically to the KX-R stereo, -poor sound when I connected my MP3 player to the stereo, -dashboard rattles when the car is really cold, -inaccurate fuel guage and distance to empty, -the water dripping into the car when you open the door, -door mirrors take forever to defrost most of these are minor quibbles because overall, this is a great car to drive.
  5. has anyone worked out what Day Mode does to the display? i can't see any difference to the display when it is on or off and the manual doesn't say what it does either. it only tells you how to turn it on or off in the settings menu.
  6. i have a KX-R FWD 7 seater and i'm currently averaging 10.2L/100KM although i don't trust this figure as I should therefore be getting around 700km from a full tank. the trip meter has never shown a range to empty above 540km. ofcourse, we've only done 1500km so maybe the car is still sorting itself out.
  7. has anyone noticed that the small hole in the middle of the interior light is also a light. it seems to be on all the time and lights up the part of the center console aroung the gear shift. i can't find a switch to turn it off and it's only visible at night when there are no street lights around.
  8. anybody living or driving in Victoria would be better off not having an accurate speedo. the speed cameras will go off if you are travelling at more than 3km over the limit even though ADR's allow a 10% tolerance in speedos.
