    This is where i mounted mine. Although not 100% visible the warning chime warns me of any problems.

    That is for the American corolla. The australian delivered corolla both 1zz and 2zz have different positioning. Have a look at this website http://www.chtoyota.com.au/parts.asp. Look for the title; "TRD Cold Air Intake Corolla ZZE 122 & 123" if you look carefully at the pipe it is a completely different shape.

    Its up to you whether you want to void your warranty. A lot of members on this forum have also done it, and from i recall there have been no issues. As for the ebay link that CAI will not fit your car, they are designed from the matrix.

    For me Toyota admitted there was a problem with the brake discs and they said would deglaze them for me, i suspect a quick bull**** sandpaper job, and they have started playing up again. I'm going back when i get time and not leaving until i have new discs.

    One thing to remember is a the Type R is pretty much a purpose built car to be driven hard and tracked. The Corolla on the otherhand is not built for the same purpose; its a small family car.

    Im no advocate of D2 suspension, however i wouldnt say the company lacks R&D because the front dampener has a stiffer spring rate than the rear. I can name many companies that design coilover for front wheel drive cars with similar setups. (Buddyclub, Cusco, Tein, HKS) Anyway through my experience of driving my mates car with a very similar setup, i found reducing the dampening on the rear helped in preventing oversteer. The front dampening was pretty much on full stiffness.

    If you are getting the grinding noise or it wont slot in, let the car roll few cms or take off the handbrake. works for me everytime.

    Have you ever driven a car with tein superwagons? there by no means a bad coilover! It is also possible to change the spring rates from 3:3, i had 3:3 on my superwagons and i admit it just didnt feel right, it was spongy and bouncy. However ive since put in 6:4 and they are great, im very happy with them.

    I dont have buddyclubs, but my wheels have a +43 offset. Just saying get the lowest offset you can.

    Cuscos zero 2 coilovers would be a good upgrade, the teins would be a downgrade as they only make super wagon spec coils for the rolla (3 + 3 spring rate and bugger all adjustments). I would hardly call tein super wagons a downgrade, they can be order with stiffer springs, you dont have to keep the 3:3. Im running 6:4 and they are pefect!

    Go with them! Make sure you get the 40+ offset. Ive got a 43+ offset and they tuck in to much at the rear, looks wrong:(

    I reckon they look terrific, cant go wrong! If you dont wanto pay that amount hunt around ozhonda theres always good secondhand japanese wheels for sale there.

    I reckon just hold out for the cusco coilovers. save the money and put it towards the coils or sways bars.

    I just had a 30000km service completed with them paying special attention to my front brakes on my 2005 sportivo. i arrived and they said the noise and braking feel was a common problem and in some circumstances the discs cannot be machined and require replacing. Anyway in my situation they deglazed disc rotors , unfortunately the noise resurfaced after 15-20 mintues of solid driving. Seems the solution is a replacement.

    Yeah i have the same problem, im taking mine in for its service on thursday and getting them to look at my front brakes.
