  3. i'v just completed the belt change,, piece of cake.. done in about 15min.. a little bit tricky getting around the last pulley, extra set of hands come in handy here.. good luck for the future guys, its not too hard ;) thanks again for the tips, cheers wil
  4. last time i had it done my mechanic only charged me $70,, and it took him 1/2hr.. i figured it cant be that hard, so i'll have a crack at it this time.. ;)

  8. located west sub's of melbourne, 1rocky, i'll try and get some prices for postage. cheers guys.
  9. hey guys, i'm after 1 sportivo rim for a spare, not too fussed about tyres.. also after a set of zze shocks, prefer something after market like KYB's, good condition no leaks.. feel free to pm me or 0421 477 686 (sms only) cheers guys wil
  10. the guys from QFM in QLD will make custom pads for you if you order them. great guys to deal with, but you just have to wait. i got a set of QFM pads made for my corolla ascent sedan, took about 6 weeks.
  11. i'm currently on s-tech springs and stock shocks.. i'v had pedders springs and also BC coilovers before this, and this current set up is the better out of the 3 in terms of everyday driving (i do aprox 50,000km per year). i'v had them for well over 1 year, and from memory i paid about $350, and installed them my self. just make sure you buy genuine tein and not copies.
  12. i'v had my 2002 corolla for 3 1/2 years,, got it on 44,000km and now coming onto 200,000km, and done at least 4 track days in it. cars been mod'd and then returned to almost stock (suspension and brakes only) was serviced every 5,000km up untill about 12 months ago (when i stoped tracking it) now service every 10,000km. the last 156,000km has only tasted premium petrol, last week i averaged 7lt per 100km.. they say 1 lap is equivalent to 1000km wear and tear, last track day i did 26 laps around winton. fuel and services has cost me a small fortune (at one stage i was servicing every 5-6 weeks) but i would not change it for anything.. great car..
  13. you wouldn't be interested in selling 1 rim, would you? i need a spare.. wil
  14. tempting,, but my shocks are shot... :( i know it'll be a good day,, they always are..
  15. hey guys/girls i'm after a full set of shocks, as mine are starting to leak. prefer vic as postage might get expensive. a set of KYB's with low kms would be ideal, if anyone has them laying around. PM me with asking prices (would love a set of koni yellows but don't have the money atm :() cheers guys.
  16. i'll see if i can make it to this one, if i can i'll bring a tin money box for the donations, ;)
  17. when i installed my bc coils i had the same prob.. what i did was cut the nut off the chassis, and used the bc coils as a whole. how ever i wouldn't recommend what i did. cause its a headache when you want to go back to stock.. best thing to do is get a big drill bit and drill out that bolt on the coilovers and then use the original bolt with the new coils.
  18. tracking a GTiR and a MPS.. maybe we should be asking you for tips ;) my set up i had was not as agressives due to the amount of km's i do (50k+ per year) front camber: -1 front toe: 0.4mm toe out with the tyre pressure i start with 38psi front and 40psi rear cold. adjust during the day to suit (weather/how the car feels) i went on street tyres bridgestone RE001's all round. hope this helps.
  19. not sure how stiff your coilovers are but i had the BC's with 5kg(F) and 4kg® with 30 clicks adjustable. i found that at 20 clicks or higher there was to much under steer.. i also prefer to run the rears abit more stiffer then the fronts.. at the end of the day its up to you how you run it as it has to suit your driving style, its all about trial and error. thats half the fun ;)
  20. i'm running on QFM HPX pads aswell, loved them when i had them with slotted rotors. been on them for over a year now.. much better then EBC greens. where were all you guys when i was tracking,, most of the time it was just me and a heap of civic boys.. nice to see that theres more and more of you guys getting into it now, good stuff keep it up ;)
  21. 1:50 at winton with re001,, not sure what you have done to your car but i think it's achievable, i managed a 1:54 with RE001's with only minor mods in a 1zz sedan.. but it took me 3 track days to get that time. by the way SAM with the 1:46 was crazy (but good) driver. ;)
  22. 1:48.3 is a time that will embarrass ALOT of bigger cars out there.. good work mate. the last time i was out was in feb with sneezeinc and i think you were there also, i was hoping to go to the exe day or pedders sprints but straped for cash atm, but the itch has come back and its been a long time between drinks for me..
  23. yeah i just spoke to him and yeah its all fixed now. man, what a small world ;) ..
  24. i checked this as well, its in good condition and clean..
  25. for the people who are interested.. i found some info about OCV's and how to replace them.. this is not a 2zz but an older 4age 20v which works similar to lift.. http://forum.9000rpm.co.za/viewtopic.php?id=7856 the ocv is a valve that opens ups at a certain rpm accordingly to your oil pressure and temp. the oil pressure then advances the cam timing creating lift. (my basic understand of it after 15min of searching ;) )
