  1. Yep had mine replaced at about 20k or 30k (can't remember) and its been back again from 45k now at 60km and much worse.I had exactly the same experience with my 08 kluger as nidecker. I just recently took it for service after it already being " repaired" under warranty a few years ago for the same clunk to come back ....had the technician come for a drive with me to experience the clunk which he did..... Then basically got told to live with it and if it gets significantly worse come back to us.

    Kluger Price

KXR 7 Seat FWD with side steps, tow bar, rubber cargo mat, and tinting for 42.5 drive away. That was at the start of 08. I thought that prices would have come down not up, probably because of the fluctuations in exchange rate. I had to wait three months but i didnt mind because i got an 08 instead of 07
  3. I use the back row 2 days a week and fold it back down when not in use, to increase boot space. We have 3 car seats in the 2nd row. Normally its a 6 year old climbing through the boot to get into the 3rd row. but I have done it a few of times myself climbing over the boot which was very difficult weighing over 100kg. Still beats removing the child seats first. For an older person obviously this is not practical.
  4. Thanks Lamb Chop you are exactly right the service department told me that they replaced the "exhaust o2 sensor" The error has gone away now so I am happy. However i was a bit dissapointed in the service from Toyota.
  5. Hi all, I have this strange error coming up on the Display above the radio that reads "Check your VSC System. Have your vehicle checked by a dealer" On the dash neumerous lights were displayed also including the triangle with exlamation point light, the engine light, the "VSC OFF" light. I tried turing the VSC off and back on with that button underneath the steering column but that did nothing as well. So I took the car to a dealer last night who reset something and the error went away. However the error returned again this moning. Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any advice? I plan on taking it back to the dealer in a couple of days. I also have some concern about driving it in its current state. Its an inconvenience and im dissapointed in toyota. The car is a 08 KXR FWD. Any of the kluger experts advice would be much appreciated.
  6. I have a KXR it is awesome. I dont understand why people spend so much money on the extras.. I got my 7 seat KXR for with tow bar and sidesteps for $41,900 drive away. The difference in car between KXR KXS and Grande dont seem worth it to me. 60g for a Grande. I dont understand that the extras on the grande compared the KXR are one third of the value of the car. To me a lot of the extras are gimmicks. Push button start for example....who cares if you need to turn the key as opposed to puch the button? Look at this way you could almost buy a KXR and corrolla for the price of the Grande
  7. I too am keen on the extra anchor points in the third row; however the installer in Brisbane told me that it couldn’t be done and he was recommended by the RACQ. One reason was because the third row is so close to the boot there is no room for an anchor on the roof and the second reason is if the anchor is installed on the back of the seat or on the floor of the boot, the seat is not structural designed to accept the load introduced during crash. I think the installer might have been a bit conservative on that one. Also is anyone experiencing any problems with the middle anchor in the second row? I find that if I use the child restraint in the middle (which should be the safest) the strap back to the anchor point slides between the outside and the middle seat. (the seat behind the driver and the middle seat are locked together, however the seat on the left in the middle row is totally independent form the other seats in the middle row). I am thinking i will have to get another anchor installed for the 2nd row of the middle seat. Which is a design fault of I am very disappointed in Toyota as this is marketed as a family car and then can’t get the child restraints anchors right. Ford has five anchors. The Kluger effectively have only has 2. The Kluger is better than the Ford in every other way to the child restraints. I think Toyota should make a design available to retrofit anchors in the third row.
  8. Has anyone looked into having extra child restraint anchor points fitted to the 6th and 7th seats in the 08 Kluger? I would be interested to see how it has been done.
