So tempted like you wouldn't believe.

That makes the decision easy then. Of course we want the extra 10kW. That will make it a beast.

Can you turn the auto-tilt feature on the side mirrors off?
DJKOR replied to Seayeti's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
Only comes on the Presara. It's for parking assistance. -
Sometimes there really is nothing you can do. So don't be surprised if you just can't get rid of it.

Kinda. There is one of those as well for when things really break. -
Exclamation mark - what does it mean
DJKOR replied to learningman's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Did that ... it says "Master Warning Light". It does not however tell you what it can be. It's not written well. I suspect Toyota could hook up scanner and tell from codes ? The words "Master Warning Light" would seem to indicate that something rather important needs to be looked at. If nothing out of the obvious can be seen, it might be wise to consult with Toyota or a mechanic. They are meant to be able to read warning codes so if they can't help you in person, just tell them how useless they are and try another. It can appear for things ranging from leaving the handbrake on or bonnet unlatched while moving, to something more serious like a fault with your charging system. -
K&N Air filter for Camry?
DJKOR replied to Stratos Kay's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
You truly do fail as a spambot don't you? What I don't get is that you link to sites which don't appear to have any affiliation to you. What's the go with that?- 12 replies

Interestingly enough, I was doing a search on Google for "Aurion service logbook" and came across this: Aurion 60K Service Here is my receipt for my 60,000km service. Dealer details are included. I provided my own engine oil and brake fluid. It may not be the cheapest service around, but the location is convenient and compared to some other dealers, when I call to book it in, I can usually drop it off that same afternoon for the evening service or first thing the following morning for standard day service. http://imageshack.us...es/85/60ke.jpg/ If they supplied the fluids, I would estimate the cost to have been around $299.

I didn't realise everyone could see their own count. In the past, this was usually hidden. Well if you want to live on the edge, I can give you 9 of them :P We don't use them so much these days like they used to be used. Most of the time we just issue a straight ban because the most common problem is spammers. I think it's mainly a combination of more relaxed standards plus the community is actually quite friendly as a whole.

The service manuals are readily available from the FAQ's. It's not hard to find. But if I must: -
Disconnected small rubber tube,need help
DJKOR replied to allanlu's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
It was disconnected and they didn't know what to do so they blocked it with a screw instead? Please do the following: 1) Connect the tube to the part your have pointed your arrow at, 2) DO NOT go back to that mechanic ever again. It wouldn't have done you any damage, but everything was connected for a reason. -
aurion remote SX6... no can do (cheaply). This is what you would need: 1) The control ECU for the Smart Entry, 2) Receiver for the ECU (mounted on C-Pillar, and different to the standard one), 3) The push button switch, 4) New drivers side door handle, 5) New steering column (as it has a motorised lock assembly and no key tumbler) 6) At least one Smart Entry transponder key. Don't ask me how much that will all cost. My best guess would be that you won't want to know. Smart Entry/Smart start options

I don't know how your system works so I can't comment there but I wonder why he wouldn't issue it on the spot. If you do get a fine in the mail though, I would imagine your penalty would still be the same and the suspension would apply. On that note, I just had a look at that whole suspension things if you are a P-Plater and get a speeding offence. That's pretty crazy.

How to change the door light to led light?
DJKOR replied to leonG-'s topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
It's amazing what you can find with a little searching. 2 minutes later and look what I found: Interior Lights -
It is adjusted with some extensions on the adjustment dial that stick out into the boot. They pretty much look like this. You can figure out how it works: http://apexi-usa.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/2/z/2z002_110mm.jpg None at all. I could get away with lowering it more but the TRD bodykit hangs lower than a Sportivo kit so I would have some huge issues.

What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Today I got a start on my 150,000km service. I say I got a start on it because I hit the mark sooner than planned and due to a busy week at work, I didn't get all the bits and pieces in time. Today I: - Changed the oil and oil filter - Flushed and changed the Power Steering fluid - Changed the only drive belt on the car for the revised/shorter belt that supposedly corrected a rattling issue. The belt was pretty much due for changing anyways (see attached image for the importance) The remaining items to do next weekend are: - Initial coolant change (First change is done at 150,000km) - Replace fuel filter - Change front rotors and pads Then some time in the coming month or so I plan to: - Change rear rotors and pads - Change worn suspension bushes with SuperPro replacements After all that, the TRD should be back in good order for many more kilometres of driving. -
Pop off the black plastic triangle section on the inside of the car on the other side of the mirror. From there you can remove the 3 x 10mm nuts that hold the mirror on.

Thanks. Set me back 2k fitted. Wasn't in the mood to see if I could save a hundred or so by looking around because being an impulse buy, I just wanted it ASAP. Plus they were a 15 minute walk from my office making it really convenient to go to.

So it has pretty much been forever since I have done anything to my TRD. Well yesterday (well on Monday because that's when I went in to book her in) I caved in and made the decision to get some Pedders XA Coilovers. I am yet to find my sweet spot with them but all I can say is WOW! Driving like it is on rails is one way to describe it. I'm still finding it amazing how far it can be pushed now without losing grip. Even when pushed to the point that it does lose traction, it is easy to recover from the slide unlike before where you had to be careful not to swing the weight the other direction and unsettle it even more. When I had them fitted, I asked for it to be dropped so the top of the tire is pretty much in line with the bottom of the guards. The before and after measurements from the ground to the bottom of the guards are as follows: Before / After (cm) FR: 68.5 / 66.5 FL: 69.0 / 67.0 RR: 68.0 / 64.0 RL: 68.0 / 64.0 That gives a 20mm drop on the front and a 40mm drop on the rear. One thing to note though is that this is a drop based on the TRD suspension. From previous experience, I found the TRD suspension in comparison to the Sportivo suspension sits 15mm lower in the rear and 13mm lower in the front. So comparatively speaking, in comparison to an Aurion Sportivo, my TRD now sits 55mm lower in the rear and 33mm lower in the front. The car is pretty close to being level with the front pointing down ever so slightly. Anyways, enough of that. Now for the pics:

What did you do to your car today?
DJKOR replied to JustinW's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
So I had omitted a slight detail from that post for certain reasons... now I shall include it: -
The pre-facelift Aurion (pre Jan 2009) has a service interval of 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first. To the OP, personally I would stick to that recommendation. So if you do reach 48 months, even if you haven't reached 60,000km, I would still have it serviced. If they provided you with a km figure lower than 60,000km this typically means they are just estimating what your odometer would be on by the time your service is due.

Radio,Mirrors, Cigarette lighter, NOT WORKING!! all fuses good
DJKOR replied to lovelytom's topic in Tarago Club
You have to remember that not everyone that views your thread may have knowledge on a Tarago and sometimes, depending on the question, it may be safer not to provide generic advice to prevent making problems any worse. This forum sees hundreds upon hundreds of visitors a day with all kinds of Toyota's and various other cars. Your ratio of views to replies is bound to be high. -

Got a wheel alignment on the TRD. The first one it has had in 4 years / 150,000km. Had a couple of adjustments to the default and it certainly drives a little sharper now. Definitely not placebo, I'm sure of it.
