  1. Hi all, new to this thread and the forum in general. I have a KX-R with the 6stack bluetooth - what a waste of money. I ordered the damn thing to use as a mobile office. The dealer has not been overly useful, helpful but unable to resolve the issue. My service advisor told me that it can be phone specific and the unit does not like Nokias (which I can confirm, I've tried a 6110 Nav & 6230i & 6310i) nor does it like Blackberry or ZTE (Telstra) brands. all of these have worked when stationary but once moving, forget it. Sony Ericson seems to be a little better. Any update on the alleged fix? Pete <_< Well, as was expected the dealer couldn't find any fault. I actually spoke to someone at FujitsuTen who advised that there is no software upgrade / update and that from he point of view, my unit was faulty and should be replaced. I tried the volume adjustment as described above, it did help. Now the decision is to whether to continue to have a dust up with the dealer. I have a KX-R with the upgraded bluetooth audio and it pairs fine with my Nokia 6120 and my wife's Sony. One thing I learnt - you cannot access the bluetooth menu or change phones when moving - safety thing. You sure this is not your problem? Cheers Paul
  2. Scott No I have never owned another Toyota let alone a Kluger until now. Yes, I was astounded that the user name was still available Basically, the tyre question was yet another reason why the KX-R bacame our choice as we assumed the options in the 19's would be limited and hence expensive. No way would I option a car with a standard accessory like a rim upgrade - cheaper and more attractive options around. But like most things these will be cheaper in the coming years when they're more common. I can remember when 17's were an exotic wheel
  3. I paired my Nokia 6120 with KX-S demo in the yard with no problem. Is it possible that the Toyota system uses the network to initially recognise the phone. During my play with the demo I noticed a phone number oin the display (not mine) when scrolling through the menu options. I see that the BT can store up to 6 phones to pair with so maybe this is the way (the number) in which the system differentiates between phones. Just a thought to maybe explain the above problem......
  4. During negotiation on the purchase of our 08 KX-R we were debating on the price of tyres between the 17" on the KX-R and the 19" on the KX-S / Grande models. Does anyone know or researched replacement tyres for the 2 rim sizes?
  5. Hi Interested in this option also - any updates?
  6. G'day folks - first time poster. Can't believe I managed to wrangle the most obvious user name Anyway............ Just ordered the base model KX-R 2WD (povo pack) in Graphite. We were initially looking at the KX-S but didn't really care for the leather and the only real useful feature missing was the BT integration - so we paid and got the upgraded audio. Basically got a 2008 model with Upgraded audio Factory towing kit with electrics Boot mat Floor mats (should be mandatory anyhow) Tinting Total incl ORC came to just over $49k and with my $4500 (initial) traded VT Commodore I walked away paying $37350. Resonably pleased.
