  1. Azza how can you remember all the Stivos you saw? (even the color/pre/post facelift ) Did you write them down everytime you see one pass by or something :P
  2. The one with a big red TRD sticker on the rear window? Seen it a few times in Hurstville, looks alright but definitely need a wash :P
  3. Saw a black pre facelift stivo a few days ago with red custom plate LU XXX on Stoney Creek Rd near King Georges Rd, lowered, eye lid (?), had some dark looking rims, very nice!!
  4. I install mine 2 days ago too, just wondering is it normal to get a "PSSS" noise after I rev the engine? (a bit like the sound you get when you turn the car off, 05 Stivo) It's more noticeable when the car is cold and in neutral. haha I didn't know the TRD CAI comes with a fake BOV Hopefully the sound is normal coz I check everywhere and can''t seems to find any leaks etc. Also what do you guys use to cover the hole next to the VSV? As for power gain it's definitely noticeable, feels like it got more torque, and the engine rev less on Highway speed (~3800rpm compare to ~4200rpm @ 120km/h) So far I really love mine, just the noise is a bit concerning...
  5. I've got the Navman GPS 3450 for my PDA, so far it work fairly well, save me from getting lost a few times lol :P However the start up time is a bit slow, it doesn't work if you "can't see the sky" (eg: tunnel), and it can be stupid sometimes (eg: tell me to chuck a illegal U-turn on a freeway, turn right when I am on top of a bridge...) but for the price I pay ($250 from DSE) I guess that's acceptable.
  6. Yup, have trouble going to reverse even when standstill, sometimes crunch as well will try putting into first first :) also have little trouble going from 2nd to 3rd, just not perfectly smooth... need more practice maybe?
  7. nice pics, nice rolla too! love to see them in action B)
  8. Well I don't have much experience with a buffer, but I guess the most important thing is to keep the pad flat to the surface and start with a slow RPM, don't press on it too hard etc... Looking forward to see more tips from the expert :)
  9. You are so right BlackRolla, well I don't feel stupid, I just think the person who keeps on repeating that line is stupid. I have to say I did get very offended and did feel very unwelcome here, luckily I've been lurking here for a while (before I got my Rolla) and I know that not everyone here is a ***** and there are lots of nice people here, or else from my experience on the first day I post, I would have left stright away. I am here to learn and share experiences, not to get told what to do and get insulted
  10. Thanks SILVABULLIT, I've read a lot of your previous posts and they are very informative, much more then "somebody's" whinging and complaining <_< Back on topic, I am a Meguiars fan too and yes I know cheap buffer or rotary buffer can burn the paint, but as far as I know Random Orbital Buffer is very "newbie proof", please correct me if I'm wrong... The Makita buffer's minimum RPM is 4000 and I am not sure if it's trigger sensitive or not, so I'm a bit concern if that speed is too fast or not... Can you please tell me what's the average/maximum speed you use to buff? Also which buff pad you use? Meguiars W8006? I can't find them anywhere but I haven't check Autobarn yet, so I'll go check them out next week. Once again thanks for your help, you are what this forum needs more, instead of idiot who only knows how to insult people and tell people to use the search tool, which I did try and can't find anything related to my quesitons
  11. oh and btw, I did read this post before I post this topic ;)
  12. I've spend the last few days and couple of hours today researching but did not find any info regarding polishing with a buffer.. I did try the search tool but it doesn't seems to come up with something that answer my questions, so if you can find the previous topics which covered polishing with a buffer please help :) Reason I ask this is because I just got a new Rolla and it's black, and it seems that normal hand polishing/waxing will cause lots of swirl marks :\
  13. Hi Guys, New here, just wanna ask how you guys polish/wax your cars? Anyone use a Random Orbital Buffer/Sander? I did some research and found 2 models other people recommended: Bosch PEX400AE, Hitachi FSV13Y, and I also saw Makita BO5021 today in Bunnings... Anyone use any of these before? Thanks for helping! :D
