  1. Just wondering if anyone can put me on to a couple of places that does guard rolling/lipping? I'm in south east melbourne. Cheers. Please email me at edwardson.tongue@defence.gov.au
  2. where abouts would you find these wheels Danz? BangN : what are they actually called and who distributes those wheels? Group buy anyone? :D
  3. enjoying that car............. its another world out there for VIPs i wish more were into it. I'd like to do more to mine but $$$ are goin elsewhere for the time being. Where'd u get those wheels bangn if you don't mind me asking? Maybe i might upgrade sooner than expected.....
  4. this is an interesting topic.... if your running a 600rms amp why aren't you using a 2 gauge or even 0 gauge? you'd have a better flow. I'm running a 0 gauge to a distributor which sits 15cm from my amp and i've got 1 8 gauge going into my rockford lenght of that is only 30cm. I also have a spare set up for a second amp which i use in db drags, good ol 1501bd. But seriously your really restricting breathing of those amps even though there's ample room for air, there's no fresh air circulating the amp. Its nice though really good effort making it clean. I really didn't have a choice in mine, i couldn't bare go back to a single sub. So i have to deal with a dual and amp mounted on the back of box. If you have the factory battery, that's just ridiculous, your lights will dim, definately would need a capacitor with the system your running. That and a decent battery.
  5. it shouldn't!!! unless lens are dirty and unable to read, or disk is damaged
  6. although, nothing like changing coolant every year?? 2 years is a lot of time havin crud run through. long life or short life, i'd be doing mine yearly regardless of coolant. Ofcourse use reccomended coolant. Tap Water. Can anyone answer this: How do you flush your radiator and engine of coolant just using bottled distilled water??? Draining ur radiator won't keep it clean. There's still the water that flows through the engine. I mean you probably could use bottled water but that would take alot of water...... Does toyota service use distilled or tap?
  7. Many times before i've had this thought. But yes it all depends what you can afford at the time. On my old ride i got my wheels first, then got my bodykit fitted (next day) 3 days later i got my suspension customised to legal height 10cm lowest point of car. This little adventure in 1 hit is very expensive. But to help i would buy the kit first and hang on to it til you have money for wheels and suspension. But if looks aren't your thing, then i'd be getting wheels that are lightweight. Cheap chromies from tempe or bsa are very heavy. dats my 2 cents..
  8. i'm so glad someone's ask the question i've been thinking about for ages.....
  9. ~~~~droolss~~ hmmmmmmmmmm 3sgte awd damn why don't aust opt to that model....
  10. echo looks good......... wat if you could put a stivo engine in a echo............
  11. i had the exact problem on my old ride. custom suspension no give at all... rollin on pirelli's pzeros.. wet i could almost drift!!!!!!!! very bad handling in wet. so i just didn't drive hard. but now on my rolla with the F1's its excellent.!!! and not so stiff suspension.
  12. what model rex? flogging and trashing a car doesn't mean you dump clutches and slam gears.... you can be a spirited driver and yet retain a good shifting skill.
  13. The box will only break if driven improperly. Having had a turbo car and knowingly not to dump clutches and slamming gears you know how to drive. It will last as long as you drive it properly. Subie's don't have the strongest gearboxes and if driven hard it will break. Mate has a my98 replaced 2 dog boxes already because he does dump and slam. (never learns) Toyota has decent gearboxes and stivo's being the car that they are (sports) toyota would of made sure they have a strong box. And yes you'll mention your turboing a stivo.... well like i stated its how its driven. It just won't break because u turbo the car... Ask anyone who owns a turbo car they all know. If its any consolation its not hard to beat a stock rex. e.g. MR98 lancer 1.8lt with a subie turbo and intercooler no internal mods just heavy duty clutch. Smashes stock rex's. With stock gearbox.
