  1. No problems. 5 of us (all adults) drove from Toowoomba to Port Douglas a couple of weeks ago. And packed the luggage so we had clear visiblility out the back window. Again, no problems.
  2. I've been looking for some for my front seats too. Price does not scare me as I want full sheepskin. Thise are some others you can try: http://www.canterburyseatcovers.com.au/pro...?categoryid=333 http://www.sheepskintailors.com.au/index.html http://www.jumbucksheepskins.com/sheepskin_seat_covers.html http://www.aussiesheepandwool.com.au/category6_1.htm

    Rav4 Towbar

I do believe there is a reversing mirror 'from Japan' on eBay at the moment. Good luck.

    Rav4 Towbar

Hi Jacki, How much did the reverse sensors cost? And what sort of monitor goes with it - distance, beeping, indicates which side????? Thinking of getting some as well as a tow bar. Thanks.
  5. So at last count you are at least 73 years old and still have your memories. Well done...... Personally at 40ish I'm RETIRED. Full time wife and mother, Share trader, Artist - will teach folk art and decorative painting. Other experience - Secretarial. Catering. Proof reading. Jewellery making. Wedding planning.
  6. Personally, I don't think you can go past an MR2. I have a 90 model Aussie delivered N/A targa top and absolutely love it. But would say that if you can find a hardtop then go for it. Luckily for me, my husband is a mechanic so no problems, but may I suggest www.mr2.org.au for info on Perth mechanics and any other advice you may need. Cheers.
  7. Sorry. I misread the thread and didn't realise you have a spyder. Most of the problems are with the targa tops and windows. I've had a good, hard look but can't locate the thread I mentioned. :(
  8. Thanks Jacki. No, I haven't got a quote from them yet as I am looking at other companies. And from what I have seen $400 is quite cheap. I assume this would not be the full sheepskin, but sheepskin with an acrylic skirt and back. The last set of sheepskin seatcovers I bought have acrylic skirts and backs and I bought them from Wooly Fleece 11 years ago for $750 (front and rear). They are still wearing well but the acrylic has gone a funny colour. I have decided that this time I am buying seatcovers with full sheepskin...... Which is why I am saving. I have put a couple of links here to you to look at. http://www.sheepskintailors.com.au/index.html A friend of mine got seatcovers for her Kluger from these people and they are very good with no postage charges. For airbags they also make the vest style you talk about. http://www.jumbucksheepskins.com/sheepskin_seat_covers.html They quote $750-900 for a front pair of seatcovers. Happy hunting.
  9. Jacki, I too am most interested in sheepskin seatcovers for my Rav4. Can you please tell me how much they quoted you for them? Also, exactly what provisions do they make for the airbags to deploy? Thanks.
  10. I have 5 vehicles all insured with the same company and whenever I add a new one to the policy, I am asked about modifications so that they know about them and will also cover them if there is an accident. If I make a change to a vehicle, I always contact them to let them know about it. Honest is still the best policy. If you are not doing something illegal, then you have no worries... :D
  11. Since no one could shed some light on the actual topic other than to promote Nu Finish (which I know to be great), I did some research of my own and came up with the following on a Toyota site: PAINT PROTECTION AND ENVIROSHIELD PAINT PROTECTION AND ENVIROSHIELD PAINT: When you buy a car it is important to protect the paintwork and keep it looking new. The paint treatment we apply to your car will: · Prevent paint from fading and oxidising from the sun's damaging UV rays. · Create a non-stick surface - Teflon formula. (non- stick) · Lock in shine, maintaining that new car look · Never require waxing or polishing · Protect from road grime, rain and pollutants like: - bird droppings (bat and possum too!) - tree sap - petrol marks - acid rain - alkali pollution - hard water deposits NEW CARS -6 YEAR WARRANTY ON PAINTWORK USED CARS - 4 YEAR WARRANTY ON PAINTWORK When I put it in for it's 10,000km service, I'll ask then about using only Ming car shampoo and the like.
  12. I recently bought an 8 month old Rav4 and it has been treated with all the paint and fabric protection stuff, therefore I was provided with Ming car shampoo etc when I got the car. I am not sure whether it is safe to use other more commercial stuff when I wash it or whether to wax or not. Can anyone offer any information so that I don't inadvertently damage the paint work. Thanks.
  13. I have found that Shower Power safely removes everything from sticky goo to Blu Tack. I used it to remove gunk left over after peeling sticker off my car. Patch test in small inconspicuous area first though, just to be sure.
  14. From the First Lady........ Got a ' 90 SW20 white manual na Aussie delivered. Just clocked up 291,000km. Immaculate condition. Just love it.
  15. Since I didn't see this thread before I started one myself, I'll lodge my readings here too. I've had my 2007 Rav Cruiser, auto for a month now and on city driving alone with trips up and down the Toowoomba range each time, I got 11.73ltrs/100km out of my first tank. Have done longer trips on the current tank so am keen to see a lowering of the consumption. This link will help with calculations. http://home.iprimus.com.au/foo7/fuel.html Cheers.
