Hi guys! I've been calling around getting quotes for servicing my camry at 150,000kms and toyota and a few other places quote me for around $620 for a normal major service which I'm told includes the timing belt. Theres this other place that I called that quoted me close to $1k that included a water pump. Do I really need to change that? The other places said I could change it if I wanted to but it isn't in their package. Any advice?

Just before I got my camry, the previous owner told me that he needed to change the seatbelt because the belt had some threads loose......he ordered a 2nd hand one from a mechanic who didnt have any stocks for a new one but just before he brought the car in he managed to get a brand new one and got it installed. Turned out the new one was cheaper than the 2nd hand one LOL

Hey guys! Anyone have any mechanic mates around the brisbane area? My car is due for major servicing and I want to try somewhere outside rather than toyota since I'm kind of tight on cash at the moment. If I'm happy about the servicing job I'd gladly take my car back to him the next time and I'll try and get my friend to go over too
